While i don't find myself particularly good at them I like to break out a good old fighting game every now and then. Some of my favorites include Primal Rage, Skullgirls and Smash Bros.
So after looking back at a few of them. I.E Killer Instinct, Dead or Alive etc. I thought to myself "Hey. Why don't i see if i can create a roster of my own for the hell of it."
Which leads me to this collection of characters for a what-if fighting game in the Novalla Universe.
The task i set myself was to design 11 characters. each must fit with the Chinese Zodiac theme (The Dog is left out because OFC i wouldn't leave Lydia out of a fighting game so she gets a buy) I also allowed myself to take some liberties by letting myself variants or subspecies of Zodiac animals I.E Lydia being a Ookami (Or Wolf for those not in touch with my lore) is still a type of Dog.
Context for this hypothetical plot:
A fighting tournament is set up by the Ramses and company corperation. The winner not only becomes Vita Nova Island's Novinate Fist Champion but also wins a purse of £10,000,00.
So without further ado. Ive numbered each character (sans Lydia) to go with the descriptions i am about to write.
1. Zack Thunder
Species - Rooster
Age - 29
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Body
Occupation - Kickboxer
Fighting Style - Kickboxing
Bio: Small name. Big ego. Zack is a running champion in the kickboxing scene having won several tournaments. Feeling himself ready for the movie scene. He enters the tournament to boost his Ego further and to fund his own movie.
2. Claus Barker
Species - Rat
Age - 16
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Mind
Occupation - High School Student
Fighting Style - American Karate
Bio: Claus Barker is a Student on his 2nd year of high school. Currently studying to become a doctor he learns horrible news about his mother getting cancer. Using his pastime of Karate to help. He enters the tournament with the soul intent of using the money to hopefully save her.
3. Pearl Precious
Species - Hare
Age - 24
Gender - Female
Novinnate - Soul
Occupation - Dancer
Fighting Style - Dance based combat
Bio: A rather popular gal at your local nightclub in the slums of district 4. Pearl lives for the hustle and bustle of attention. However the dopes she pleases don't pay well. So when the tournament came up Miss Precious decides its high time she got rich and shipped out for bigger and better glamour.
4. Rich Bronson
Species - Bull
Age - 35
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Body
Occupation - VNPD Cop
Fighting Style - Boxing
Bio: From a former boxing career to using his strength to serve justice, Rich is a very iron-willed man dedicated to helping those innocent and bagging those guilty. After being briefed of possibly foul play within the Ramses company Finding himself using his old past once more. Rich hopes to solve this case.
5. Carl Lecter
Species - Orangutan
Age - 40
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Body
Occupation - Trucker
Fighting Style - "Brute Force"
Bio: Recently laid off due to an incident with some cargo. Carl find's himself desperate to find sustainability, While many jobs seemed promising, Carl's heart belonged to the road. Seeing the tournament and prize money as a chance. He enters intending to get his own truck and freelance.
6. Stan Jackson
Species - Horse
Age - 26
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Null
Occupation - F-1 Racer
Fighting Style - Jailhouse Rock
Bio: Loved by many speed demons alike. Stan Jackson has been dubbed "the face of F-1" on Novalla. While he's professional on the road. That buzz he once had for the track has dwindled to nothing. Upon learning of the tournament Sam decides to pick up fighting in hopes of starting a new career.
7. Nadine Barrett
Species - Tiger
Age - 58
Gender - Female
Novinnate - Soul
Occupation - Lawyer
Fighting Style - Jiu-Jitsu
Bio: Spending 20 years in law Nadine has cracked, prosecuted and even defended in nearly 200 court cases, While in her off time she practices her preffered fighting style of Jiu-Jitsu to stay in shape and capable in her mind body and soul. Finding the tournament a new exciting change to her regime. She enters with proof that Age is but a number.
8. Jenny Lane
Species - Pig
Age - 20
Gender - Female
Novinnate - Null
Occupation - Assassin
Fighting Style - Ansatsuken
Bio: Cold, Deadly and cute to boot. Miss Lane's taste to kill has numbed to the point that what some would call a job is nothing but a meal ticket for her. The only reason she is even in the tournament is because of a nice fat paycheck awaiting her for making sure no one wins.
9. Serp-lus

Occupation - Weapons Dealer
Fighting Style - Artillary
Bio: A convict who was charged with crimes involving Weapon smuggling. Charles Timms escaped the way most snakes do. Thanks to his reputation he was taken in by Ramses and Co to be the CEO's bodyguard. complete with his own special body to work with.
10. Louis Ramses
Species - Ram
Age - 30
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Mind
Occupation - Corperate CEO
Fighting Style - Tai Kwan-do
Bio: The 4th CEO of the Ramses and Co company. Taking over for his late father Louis refurbished the company from what was once a household appliance company to that of weaponry. Besides these affairs he dedicates himself to much darker forces. Setting up the tournament to appease his master.
11. Ogredarryu
Species - Dragon (Omegerian)
Age - ???
Gender - Male
Novinnate - Body
Occupation - Ancient Warlord
Fighting Style - Barbaric
Bio: Said to be a General to the Goddess of Body Dimensia. Ogredarryu was sealed in a limbo after the ancient war. From there he was able to see the outside world he could no longer ravage from his prison that conveniently laid deep under where the Ramses and Co would build their company. Through manipulating Louis he seeks a strong powerful soul as a sacrifice to free his entire body so he could wage the wars he did once before.
