I wanted to draw Pumpko and Bubble again after seeing the positive responses to Pumpko's design earlier (and really liking it myself). These are Candy's "pets" in a sense.
Bubble is a ghost who tends to act as Candy's butler. He is the most serious and spends a lot of energy ensuring that everything is perfect to Candy's tastes. Fiercely loyal, he will often speak on her behalf and is very adamant about ensuring that if she doesn't wish to be bothered, he will turn away anyone until Candy changes her mind. He acts as a pseudo caretaker figure to the more feral minded Pumpko and the ultra naughty Spelldra (despite her out ranking him in terms of class, since she's a Starmaninjian, but she never listens to him anyway), but all he does is on Candy's word.
Pumpko is a cutie made to be more like an actual Pet to Candy. He's a lagorizite with a Pumpkin head and large leafy ears. Like Bubble, he is fiercely loyal to Candy, but acts more like a child of hers, often seeking her protection and getting very upset when she seems angry, no matter who or what she's angry about. This causes Candy to force herself to act like a mother nurturing an infant child and telling Bubble to take him away when she's about to deal with a threat so he doesn't worry about her. He otherwise is extremely friendly and generally loves meeting new people, unlike Bubble, though he won't often admit it.
I actually really like the idea of these two a lot, and think I will try to create more Neutralites that actively serve specific Starmaninjians. It's actually more typical that Neutraninjians would do so, but hasn't been addressed much in the stories, Still, their purpose is pretty akin to pets in the real world, or like chao from Sonic the hedgehog. They help the Starmaninjians, but generally live in the world as their own beings, not becoming unique until specifically named or raised by a Starmaninjian (and in some cases, if raised enough, they may even become a Starmaninjian themselves, like Leaf Starshrub).
1. Neutraninjians differ from Starmaninjians at a glance by their eyes. They have inverted eyes and they do not have irises. Otherwise, they look like baby Starmaninjians.
2. A Neutraninjian is often referred to as a "Neutralite" in casual speak because their species are referred to by taking the Starmaninjian species and adding "-ite" or "-lite" depending on if the final sound is a vowel or constanant at the end (such as Domeratzulite, or Aerodrananite".
3. As you can see, Neutraninjians can take on forms Starmaninjians themselves don't normally take, such as Bubble's strange ears (which is more typical of the general Neutralite), or Pumpko having a Pumpkin head, which is truly his heat and not a mask. They also don't tend to have fingers or hands, but still generally retain the Starmaninjian feet (albeit with no nails or little nail shaped spines).
4. Whether spiders actually exist or not is a mystery. Probably just a prank from Spelldra who's always making weird stuff happen, usually at Bubble's expense.
5. That should close out Halloween. Though I think I'll have one more Candy related drawing coming up soon as I finally redraw her husband, Wing Nocturne.
