Thanks to an overwhelming amount of heartfelt compassion and generosity, we think we should be able to handle the rest of the bill ourselves, but any further help is STILL appreciated because the bill WAS over $4000.
We don't actually have that kind of money right now, but with the $2155 head start, the hope is we can outrun the payments long enough to stand on our own feet and take care of them ourselves.

Rocko had a bit of a touch-and-go morning. He doesn't seem as peppy as he was yesterday. Less hungry, and he hasn't peed yet, or pooped since he came home Wednesday. Now, probably he was fasting before his surgery (Or just given an enema on the operating table), so maybe his system just hasn't caught up yet, and the codiene we were given DOES have the side effect of constipation. It's the lack of peeing we're monitoring closely, but he was just fine with peeing yesterday, so as long as he does go at some point today, we probably don't have anything to worry about.
Yes, maybe we're being a little too hyper-vigilant, but we want Rocky to make a full recovery. I need my running partner back. It's no fun to run alone.
We're following the instructions we were given, and I know that MSU is one of the best places to do this sort of thing. I just can't help but worry that something else will go wrong. We're not so much worried that his implant will fail (He's being VERY good about just resting in his crate) as we're worried something else is going on.... but this IS just 48 hours since his surgery. No reason to go insane yet.
Hey! No falling asleep! Here's the Sketch Club news!
For those of you who weren't around during my Sketch Club days, they were dedicated free art raffle streams with a twist: I would produce a fully colored pic in the 3 hour time limit. So yeah, it was a 'sketch' club in name only, because it was a far catchier name than 'completed picture club'.
The Sketch Club streams will be on the weekends STARTING OCTOBER 6th and will continue until DECEMBER 6th; Friday evening (7 PM USA Eastern Standard Time), Saturday morning (9 AM EST), and evening (7 PM EST) and finally one more (If I'm up to it) on Sunday morning (9 AM EST) so that's 9-12 hours a week I will be dedicating to Sketch Club to thank the furry community at large for their amazing generosity in our time of need... but yes, there WILL be a tip jar open as well. We're not going to turn down MORE help, after all.
Barring health issues, I will MAKE the time to keep doing those weekend Sketch Club streams. If you look back in my gallery, you will see that I took it very seriously back in the day. There's over 100 Sketch Club pics in my gallery.
The rules for entering a Sketch Club stream are simple: 1) One character ONLY. It will be a full-body shot. Characters with excessive tattooing or complicated markings or excessive detailing on clothing WILL BE SIMPLIFIED FOR TIME CONSTRAINTS. 2) Have your character reference READY but do not post it unless you win the raffle that night, cause then I have to search the chat history to find it. 3) Tell me briefly what your character is like; I will decide on a pose and a super quick background myself. 4) If you've already won a free pic, you won't be eligible to win another Sketch Club raffle for a week. 5) Those who donated get an extra chance (assigned an extra number) to win. 6) You can talk to me while I'm working on your character, but don't expect me to answer a lot of questions. Finishing a pic in 3 hours takes ALL my concentration.
