Granted, it's currently raining outside, but that just goes further to prove my point. Here in Pittsburgh, weather swings from a super humid 90 degrees, and after it finally cools down enough to be tolerable, torrential rain.
In California, it's very hot, but it's a dry heat. I can walk around fine in 100+ degree weather with little ill effect as long as I use sunscreen and drink water. Also, you can see the weather gathering on the horizon long before a storm arrives.
In Pittsburgh, you can be a victim to a thorough soaking from a rain storm, and then minutes later suffer heat stroke while soaking wet and not a drop of rain in sight. True story. So on hot days, I just lie down and breath shallowly, trying not to drown on all the water in the air.
