while waiting for my script to be doctored i decided to try out an animation program  called tvpaint. it is easier to use than things like toonboom animate or flash. it seems most similar to how when i worked on animation by paper. [WHY NO CLIPPING MASK THO ;___; i scream in frustration] still tempted to crawl back to SAI for animation tho

[god the export is obnoxious for gifs... it doesn't need THAT MANY FRAMES OMFG]

Really smooth, as usual, though it feels like the upper left eye (viewer perspective) slides a little at the end.

She is able to control the eyes independently, yes

That's not what they mean - the actual position of the eye socket on the skull seems to slide up and out from the center of the forehead within the last two or three frames of the animation

Other than this, it looks pretty good!

Ooh. Never heard of tvpaint.  Also, the dragon looks like it took a quick bite of an invisible apple, and then didn't like the taste.

Or it's thrusting something off-camera >_>

TVPaint has something similar to the clipping mask

That's not a true clipping maski, it only allows you to DRAW on the current layer being hsown but it clips the actual drawing you're trying to stencil, making it useless for applying textures onto that layer you're trying to clipmask....

I know, that's why i said ''something similar'' :/, another thing i can recommend you is doing the thing you want to do with the clipping mask (doing the shading on my case) doesn't matter if it surpass the character because then you put it on After effects.

AE has a real clipping mask but with a different name and a different way to use it, it's called ''Luma Matted'' which uses the layer above it as a clipping mask, i usually duplicate the character's animated layer to use it as a ''clipping mask'' . http://i.imgur.com/156xqRA.png

Smooth motion, fascinating character! Speculation on reason to move like that- being stabbed, sex, or it looked like an interesting motion to animate. Oh, just noticed the pooling, so this is Blackjaw! Cool!
