So I joined IB 3 years ago
and one of the first things I did was make a comic about a mouse and a young lion
I was just starting out back then barely used to using a pen tablet

everything had uniform lines, was cell shaded, minimal clothing detail, colors are separated by lines or would be uniform, eyes are simple, hair is flat, and would only rarely use a gradient but when it did it was super obvious

Skip to now and... I guess I've improved

varied line thickness, hard defined shadows intermixed with softer more gradient like shadows, pitch black areas added in the inking to further enhance shading, colors not separated solely by lines and some gradient colors, eyes detailed and expressive, hair has more volume, special effects all over the place, a possible overuse of gradients, detailed clothing and folds

it is amazing what 3 years of drawing on a daily basis does to your drawing skills
I like seeing people improve and I'm happy that I've been amassing enough art for me to be able to look back and actually see my improvements

Now I actually feel like urging my artist friends (or really who ever may be reading this) to do a comparison from when they started out in the fandom to their art right now
