It's difficult being born a species that are well known for being "the bad guy" or the "minion" of some evil higher power. It's even more difficult when the majority of your species embrace the negative publicity and look down, reject or even harm those with a different view.
It's difficult when you try to be better than them. Attempt to set a better example by trying to be good, helpful, admirable. But as soon as you show your face, innocents flee, yell or attack on sight.
Doesn't help that you look like many of the other "henchmen' out there. Mindlessly rushing after the heroes, only to be slaughtered brutally and not even a tear to be shed over your corpse.
They didn't ask for this life. And though it's very few, some may want out of it. However it may seem futile. For as soon as they were born, they were and forever will be branded as as "the bad guy"
((Sometimes my mind thinks too far into things. Especially when I going through a depression. Which as of posting this, I am going through one of those phases again. Don't mind me.
I want to believe that every video game that has those henchmen type of enemies should have at least a few that realize that this isn't the life they want and would wish to get out of it. Kinda like how some mario games have koopas, goombas, etc that are actually good. I dunno, mind is in a weird place. XD))
