Well, that escalated quickly.

I'm sure the "Audit" planted something, as directed to.

That might not be as helpful to the crooks as they think it might. The audit crew might fold on the witness stand, once reminded that they are under oath, and that perjury is a felony with severe penalties (to say nothing of being sued for obstruction of justice).

Yea perjury is great too bad in our world the rich help the rich and the poor pay for it.

Well, that's actually typical of most assholes.

Somebody's going to be sued... :D
And Ray has all the blackmail material that he needs.

Yeah, all he'd have to do is call Miss Airhead to the witness stand.  She's just bright enough to answer any questions honestly.

She's smart enough to keep her beige tail from getting burned but not caring who else's tail will get burned.  She's screwed one agency commissioner, she can easily find another.

It appears that Ray is making all the right moves. Refusing to be intimidated, insisting on upholding the terms of his civil service contract, and "lawyering up". I hope that his father has some connections, because someone needs to "set the hounds" on the commissioner and his equally corrupt deputy (I hope that he goes "Papa Wolf" on them like Liam Neeson in "Taken").

One big worry that comes to mind is that the commissioner might have Ray's assets frozen, limiting his ability to defend himself. Even worse, the crooks might use Civil Asset Forfeiture to yank Ray & Tina's house out from under them.

and suddenly, this  comic turned into a john grisham novel....I LOVE IT. you must introduce an anthro lawyer that helps ray, THIS SETS UP AN AMAZING STORY!!!!

I do not think the comissioner realizes how well connected Ray's family is. This is going to be messy, but I have faith that Ray will come out on top, and that commissioner will go down in flames.

Especially after its known he was replaced with not only the guys mistress but someone who's wholly incompetent.

the guy aparantly doesnt realize the can of shit he just opend, he should have considered ray's connections before doing this...the union is gonna throw a fit, ray's lawyer is going to go to town on this and once the news gets involved the commisoner is going to be in sooooo much hot watter he will think he fell into a lobster pot.

that said the road to it is probly gonna be 'very' interesting in the path to that.
