As Thawn was about to kill Marc he was shoot repeatedly in the back side by Melissa, the reason for this is for what Thawn had to to Marc she had enough so she to a drastic measure. As Thawn kneels to the ground Melissa puts the gun in his head, and as Thawn begged her pull the trigger with a smile on his face Melissa couldn't do it since he looks like Marc.
