Would it be too much to ask if you could do simple and easy tutorial about it how you do backgrounds and how you color your arts? I always admire that weird small texture on your works and the simpleness of your backgrounds :) I also want to ask do you mind if I take some reference from your previous LH and Don art and practice to do backgrounds like that? That's so simple, amazing and so good looking! <3 If you don't want me to do so, let me know and I will not use your art as reference! :)

I can try making one about how i color XD the backgrouns are really mostly just simple shapes on multiply, that usually works fine

And sure, feel free to use the things as a reference :)

It would be great if you could but no need to feel pressures or anything if you won't / can't do it :D I use multiply layers a lot but my problem is I usually try to make my background way too detailed and amazing even that I don't have any 'experience' about doing amazing backgrounds etc. So I thought it would be good to start with simple stuff :)

Oh, thank you so much! ^___^

The backgrounds are really just super simple shapes. don't go into details, just add geometrical structures, flat shapes... kinda like you would see things in the distance, not really the focus of it all, but still there is a surrounding. it took me a while to figure out how to make quick backgrounds like this nice and non-disturbing to the picture itself

I really need to learn to try to keep my arts simple and all. I constantly keep comparing myself to others and how they do amazing and detailed backgrounds and when I try to do the same (knowing I don't have the skills) I get depressed and disappointed and then usually stop even trying since the depression goes so down and hard ^^;

Just be patient with yourself :) It is a constant learning process, you won't be making big improvement leaps. See it this way: Don did not get so crafty with machines and electronics without lots and lots of trial and error and plenty of failures! Just be as persistant as Don is, and you will get there :)

I should be more patient with myself. I have learn to become patient with others but not so patient with myself so I still have lots to learn about stuff and things and myself xD I should push myself a bit more since I usually don't bother to push myself to try new things or test my limits etc. I know I would get my skills improved if I would use references (I have collect them SO MUCH) but I'm just too lazy to use them then :'D I look at them and go; "Oh, this looks so good! I see this character with this pose in my mind so clearly! I will use this as reference!" then I save that art as reference but never go back to it and it's getting covered by mold in my laptop while waiting to be used XD
