well I don't think anyone was supposed to like him as a person, he was a genocidal madman responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands who tried to destroy all sentient life on Mobius. Not to mention that he was indirectly responsible for the creation of the Dark Egg Legion which gave Eggman much greater power across the world. I didn't get into it in the video, but after turning Knuckles into Enerjak he used his chaos powers to literally magic away the cybernetic implants from the Dark Legion, those who were happy to have their flesh fully restored were whisked away to Albion, which Knuckles didn't know was in ruins, where they teamed up with the survivors to rebuild. The rest, (mostly those loyal to Lien-Da) went to Eggman so he could provide them with new cybernetics, that he hid bombs inside of to insure their loyalty to HIM, thus forming the Dark Egg Legion, giving Eggman the idea to give similar offers to factions around the world. Basically Dr. Finitevus is a grade A asshole, if there was ever a character from the Sonic universe you could drop the "worse than Hitler" bomb on, it would be him.
Still, as a villain he was interesting, which is the best thing for a villain to be.
