Ronnie is technically speaking the Hybrid son of Bonnie and Rob. I'm still debating about cross-breeds atm. https://askbonnieandco.tumblr.com/post/152861845936

Although i have to admit i really dig the idea of Ronnie and Glory as his babysitter/auntie XD

Well it´s your world so I won´t dabble in it
but for my world I always say that yes hybrids exist (Selene herself is a good example) they are normally the species of one of their parents and the other one just pushed a few things in (for Selene it´s the metabolism and musclestrengh of her father)
I always thought that would make the most sense and for another thing hybrids are rare

That's probably how i'm envisioning hybrids. Ronnie gets the tail shape and the bodytype from his dad, alongside the brown fur.

I am incapable of seeing an anteater's tongue sticking out like that without imagining the sound made by one of those noisemakers with the paper roll that unfurls when you blow it. n_n
