Don't worry, Tina. The happiest moments are yet to come. They have names too. Faith, Hope, Stanley, and Ray...

Isn't "Jewish Law" says that you can not name your child after a living relative? That's besides the point...

Great comic, have not said that in a long time.

How immediate was the doc appointment to the birth of the pups? I know its different for hybrids, but there with humans is should be within 24 to 72 hours.

seeing as this was a home birth, all four of them needed an immediate checkup anyway

Where I live it is about 3 days post "going home from the hospital" but I am not sure if it is different for home births.

Hmm.  Named one of the babies after Tina's father?  Yeah, well...this wikipedia page mentions how it's bad luck to name a baby after a living relative.  I know, it's to honor him.  But the other half of Jews see that as you're waiting for him to die.  I'm not part of an orthodox family, but that's one of the rules we try to keep strict to.

Fair enough, though Ray is Reform, and the mother is a converted Catholic...and a dog.
I know that Judaism prohibits tattoos, although I know many within the faith who are.
Ray and Tina practice a form of 'cafeteria Judaism', as did many of my friends growing up. They celebrated Chanukah, but they would also celebrate Christmas. I guess that you could say that many saw it as more of an ethnic identity than a religion.
And EVERY thirteen year old is observant :-)
