The day before this comic was to go up, I heard a lady call to her children, “Come on, chitlins!”. I knew then that I had a name for the cat.
I used an insulting name generator to help & latched on to the "pusspocket" portion. I'm pretty sure most people will take "puss" to mean "stuff that comes from a sore", but when I verified my spelling/definition, "Puss" only gave me definitions for "pussy", and the correct spelling was "pus", but I've always seen it as "puss". I've never seen "puss" used as a replacement for "pussy".
Here are some of the other names that made me laugh: chub-encrusted gerbilmobile camel-livered cheeseflosser smelly-flavored slotwrangler (I read that as "snotwrangler" at first)
