So, I was skimming through some SoundFonts I'd acquired, and came across this Telecaster one. And, for some reason or other, what immediately popped into my mind upon hearing it was the lava caves (and also) forest sunset stage themes from Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel. Not that I remembered them accurately, either, apparently, and they'd blended together...
But anyways, I was spontaneously inspired to make something in the (mis-remembered) style of that game's music... And it somehow ended up like this, instead -- which is neither quite what I was aiming for, nor quite what the music (even that track, which was rather different from the rest) from that game actually sounded like... But all the same, I suppose I'm okay with how it turned out. Incidentally, the theme seems rather desert-roadtrip-ish, and I briefly considered having that be the icon/title basis.
Of course, it still has my usual lack of variety, with too much shuffling things around to different instruments and/or octaves instead of actually having new melodic content as the song goes on, and the generic looping double-crescendo song structure I think I've used for basically every track I've ever written... But, eh. At least that sort of works out for this.
... And I'd say I'm probably going to go back and do a second version of this in a bit, but that's also probably not true -- I'm tired of it already (it was most of the way here a week ago, but I've been fiddling around with it unsatisfactorily since then), and I doubt I'll regain enough interest to want to revise it at any point less than in a year or two from now. :/
... Yeah, this is like a month old by the time I'm uploading it here.
And I'm still not sure if I'm going to ever bother putting up my old stuff here beyond the few I already uploaded. If FA & SF are both 'ew no' websites for you but you would like to see/hear my older stuff, well... The music is all on MediaFire, and there are surely some imageboards around somewhere where you could see my previous colorations.
