A few days ago I watched a YT video talking about how Nala should be among the official Disney princesses. While I'm all for that, it's still a fact she's actually a queen, and so I started to imagine her dressed all posh and royal, but still with some sex-appeal, wearing a dress that reveals some leg :)

Such a disappointment that the best Disney princess isn't part of the official Disney Princess(TM) line.

Yeah, she's from an extremely popular and lucrative movie and is human.

When I saw the dolls for "Disney princesses as toddlers" and baby Ariel had legs I was like "No, just no!"

She would deserve it, but I guess an important aspect of the whole princess-thing is the dress-up, and that's difficult with a feral creature.

Even if they made her anthro, they can't just repaint the same generic head into her face; she'd need a new head sculpt. Same thing with Maid Marian, the second-sexiest Disney Princess.

Of course they have a much "better" reason for ignoring Marian; her movie was a financial flop. They don't use Kiva or Eilonwy either and those two are both fully human.

So the spiritual predecessor to Zootopia was a financial flop? I hadn't known that. Maybe that was the reason they hadn't done a cinematic release with fully anthropomorphic animals in such a long time.

Well actually Chicken Little came out only a little more than a decade ago...and it not only flopped, but was a terrible movie too.

I jokingly said to one friend that Zootopia was someone at Disney looking at Chicken Little and saying "Okay, let's do that again only not awful."

And my favorite piece of Zootopia fan art so far is the one where Robin is Nick's dad.
