Too bad I can't show a size comparison with a human or something. Can't really tell they're giants, just ugly humans. XD
That's one of their defining features though, they appear a little misshapen.

They are very diverse and I wish I could have shown that. Some have horns and some have trees growing on them and stuff.

It's an universal law that no species can grow more than 50% larger or taller than normal -or death results. The tallest human known was ~9 feet tall and died of the price for such height: impairment of blood circulation in his legs leading to infection under the leg braces, and impairment of skin sensation leading to not feeling pain from the skin lesions, until the infection spread and caused his death.

To bio-engineer truly giant mice, it was needful to gene-splice rat genes into the egg.

In my stories, NYC west of 9th avenue, is frequented by man-rats who are 5 ft tall and wear distinctive medievel hoodies. If they hide their tails, and face away from you, they'd be mistaken for humans. Examine the buildings and yards: ramps may be access/ exit routes to their empire , for their trucks. Rats bred to the size of horses are used underground only. Other ways in/out may be found in the subway tunnels. Watch for these stairs.

That's true! Good thing it's a fantasy comic. ;)
