Many trainers know what it is like trying to breed a shiny pokemon, especially trying to breed one with all IV's maxed. Phoenix has only one sin to her life; she was not born a shiny pokemon.

As a result, she was eventually released with her countless siblings. The result of the breeding culminated in her having "the best" a hawlucha could ever ask for. Her strength, speed, wit, and durability are unmatched and she towers over the average hawlucha, but even the best pokemon scientists would have to tell you that she is simply a hawlucha.

A big, strong hawlucha.

Phoenix roamed the wild for much of her life, her natural abilities being plenty to defend herself. Though one day, she happened to find herself witnessing an underground fighting ring. This fighting ring was based on the rules of the Ferrum league, where two pokemon fight eachother in a knock down drag out brawl while being in close contact with their human. Phoenix watched the fights with great interest. This wasn't the typical kids having quick scuffles, this was tests of strength, speed, and endurance.

Phoenix made her debut one day after she witnessed a match and craved to fight the winner.

Seeing the wild hawlucha jump into the ring was surprising, but mroeso was how she knew the rules. She didn't have a human partner, so the fighter thought he had an easy win under his belt. While Phoenix took a fair beating at the start of the fight, she quickly turned it around, grappling her foe and winning via TKO after just two moves.

The viewers of the matches loved her and would pay top dollar to see her matches. The fighters came to respect her as well and soon shared prep rooms with her as well as lodging and food.

The day came where she met her first loss. As opposed to official Ferrum League holo shield domes, most of the underground rings have to make do with what they have, be it wrestling mats, or even rings with ropes and turnbuckles. Her loss was in a ring with ropes. After getting too aggressive, she wound up getting her arm twisted in the ropes. Before she could pull free, her opponent had wrapped her other arm in the ropes and then pummeled her mercilessly. She was bruised and battered by the end of it and the match was called in as a win for her opponent, a fact that stuck in her throat. She couldn't stand that her first loss was due to not only her own clumsy movements, but to a cheating opponent.

The other fighters who wanted to show her support tried to give her assistance, but she simply left the ring and went right to training, practicing with ropes, how to escape them, all without seeming to be the least bit tired, and if anything, supercharged.

That was the day she got the nickname of Phoenix.

Despite all her training, everyone still had the assumption that she was at too much of a disadvantage due to the fact that, since she had no partner, she could not attain Burst Mode for a surge of power, speed, and endurance.

As she fought a rematch against her foe, the one who had cheated, the one who had fought her the first time she stepped into the ring, she was now ready.

She was aggressive as before and even got tied in the ropes, but as the lucario grabbed her other arm, she suddenly flipped her legs out and switched places with him, tying his head and arms into the ropes. Since the rules did not forbid her opponent from using the ropes, they couldn't be applied to her either. During this time, witnesses said they could see a shining gold symbol on her back, resembling a "man on fire".

After the lucario was wrapped in the ropes, she kicked him in the gut with enough force to make the ropes slingshot out, then back. As he came back, she had grabbed the ropes opposite of the ones he was caught in and wrapped them around his feet, having him strung up in the middle of the ring.

She suddenly jumped up onto one of the turnbuckles and crossed her arms, frowning at the would be cheater before she jumped of the corner slamming a knee into his gut and bouncing off of him before slamming another into him, bouncing off and landing on the other corner before she vaulted high into the air and slammed a knee into him with enough force to both free him from the ropes, but also break the suspension of the ring.

The match was ruled a TKO and when asked by other pokemon who could translate what she was saying as to what the move was called, she called it "The Raging Tauros." She continued; "I read about a cruel form of execution that humans would do to criminals involving shackling their arms and legs to two separate tauros and making them run."

When she was asked about the symbol showing up, she didn't know what anyone was talking about, but it has since been seen on her from time to time, usually against arrogant opponents. Once it does, she often ends up performing some intense and powerful move, generally far more powerful than it "should" be. The underground has basically assumed that it counts as her version of a Burst mode without a human partner.

Due to such a display, her performance name has been changed to Great Phoenix.

She always longed to have her talents get the attention of the Ferrum League, to see herself performing and fighting for the world to see.

Then came the day when many of the new blood would be seen and enlisted into the Ferrum League officially. She was outraged when she saw that one of the combatants was a pikachu merely playing cosplay while she was overlooked and forgotten!

She tore the locker room to pieces before she finally calmed down.

Currently, she is still training and fighting in the unofficial underground Ferrum League, trying to get their attention. Her goal in life is to get 1 on 1 in the ring with that pikachu libre and show her what a REAL wrestler can do.
