I've been seeing a lot of friends posting on tumblr or whatever, just being surprised how far they've come. They'll get notes or something saying that their works is amazing and wonderful and it just warms their heart <3! And it's true - those friends have come along way, and progress is always golden <3!
I often forget about myself, what I have, and what I didn't have before. I sometimes take things for granted, when the fact is - I'm not owed anything, and though I'm an artist, no one is entitled to like or look at my stuff.
For some reason or another, I can't seem to get much attention on my clean sites. DA I've kind of abandoned, since things were getting slow and, meh. Tumblr's been a slow and steady process of getting viewers and such... Naturally, I'm a bit of a smut hound, so sites like FA I've gotten much more attention - but you guys have been different the whole way through.
YOU guys have made for a wonderful community. My stuff reaches the "popular" thingy on the home page, and I'm like, "...wait wat?". You guys like my works, regardless of cub oriented, feral or anthro subjects. My work has an aesthetic that's not quite ironed out yet, it's in a weird stage and I think it may actually make some people uncomfortable at times (my clean stuff). But for whatever reason that aeshetic seems to have hit home here. You guys are my audience. You guys are always there to tell me that what I'm doing is good, and that I'm not just wasting my time.
That's something that's very important for an artist. -FOR ANYONE- actually. In a world like our own, it's sometimes difficult to continue putting up with some shit when there's not much of any payoff. Or even verification that it's the right thing to do.
Many artists do art for themselves. Me included. But we do it for you guys too. For other artists, for non-artists, for anyone interested. The fact that you guys take the time out of your day, and even LOOK at our stuff means the world. LITERALLY, the world.
But some artists don't get this honor. I know some artists here, some artists on Tumblr/da/fa anything. And it's hard to be in that stage. Every person should be getting some sort of recognition. It's just something that people need to keep going.
I don't have the time to give each and every single one of you my recognition, but I can hopefully give it to some of the more active people... I just ask that you guys continue being awesome - But also, appreciate art EVEN MORE than you already do. Comment on anyone's stuff, everyone's stuff! Look at things, favorite things! This is the most amazing thing about the internet, we get the opportunity to see things across the world! AND THERE'S SO MANY GOOD THINGS CREATED. So let's all appreciate it even a little more than we already do =)

EDIT - I just want you guys to be aware - Yes, there is free art involved in this journal, but that's really NOT the point of this. I'm not trying to get more watchers from this, that's not the point. The over all message up there is what's important.
Also, I'd really prefer people only participate if they LIKE MY ART. I get that some people may not've seen me and they've recently just watched me - that's fine. Assuming you actually like my stuff. Hopping on this to get "free art" from an artist you couldn't really care for doesn't make much sense to me. Why would you want something from me if you don't like what I do? Right?
