*What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?*
I was front row just off center at a Melissa Etheridge concert, and the very next day I was at a roadside produce stand pretty much in the middle of a hurricane!
*Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?*
Sort of, but its a work in progress.
*Did anyone close to you give birth?*
Sorta kinda. Two of my youngest cousins added to the family.
*Did anyone close to you die?*
No.
*What countries did you visit?*
None, but I'm now a citizen of Pennsylvania, and that sounds like a country, like; "Transilvania, or Czechoslovakia.
*What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?*
A "home".
*What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?*
Jan 6 or 11, when I arrived in Erie or when I "moved"in.
*What was your biggest achievement of the year?*
Despite some serious attempts by people who were supposed to never ever do what put me in the situation, I never ended up out on the street or in the homeless shelter.
*What was your biggest failure?*
Having too much faith in people still. I've learned my lesson well... Hopefully.
*Did you suffer illness or injury?*
I ended up in the hospital for a week or so.
*What was the best thing you bought?*
My 6 core super puter thingy.

Staying alive.
*What did you get really, really, really excited about?*
I really tried to refrain from getting even slightly excited about anything, in order to not crash so hard from being let down after getting my hopes up. In some respects I succeeded in this... in some respects.
*What song will always remind you of 2012?*
Oddly enough I found it significantly more difficult these days to associate a song to a year, certainly a lot more difficult than it was in the 70's and 80's, dwindling in the 90's, and almost impossible this decade. Most people are going to scream gangnam style while having some kind of various degree of "tinglies" going on between their legs, and they'll most likely expect me to, but I growl and bite in their general direction.

a) Happier or sadder? - Happier b) Thinner or fatter? - Thinner c) Richer or poorer? - I receive no more or no less monetarily speaking, but I guess since I'm spending more now, being that I have rent and bills to tend to of my own... Poorer.

I wish I could have got more mileage out of Snowie before he was decommissioned, and I wish I could have driven all those miles on him more for recreation than for desperation for a roof over my head.

Driven less to get to where I am now.

I spent it with Bucky and Amy and Alex and Brian.

I thought I did, still a bit of a fool in that regard.

Zero... I wouldn't be caught dead intentionally getting involved in something like that, and I try my damnedest to keep it from happening unintentionally.

*Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?*
No, but in the realm of despising and or being so angry and frustrated with someone that they disgust me, I'm leaning towards more than just wanting to hate people. This has to do more with the fact that their behavior bleeds out into the realm past me and realizing that its not just me that they treat that way, they do it to everyone who lets them. That's my biggest problem, I have too kind of a heart and for my part in it, I let them. Doesn't mean that its still mostly their part though and their responsibility.
That is changing though.

I'm thinking I really dig "Fun", except perhaps its more of a rediscovery.

A home.

Well at first I wasn't looking for it just yet, but then I started getting my hopes up thinking I was going to get a well rooted partner.
*What was your favorite film of this year?*
This is probably the first year in a long time that I did not actually. I waited a long time, like a few decades or so, to see Prometheus and I got to see it on a real little screen compared to what I wanted to see it on, and it didnt meet up to what I expected it to, but it would probably be the best one I saw this year.
*What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?*
Observed all the wishes I got on Facebook and was taken out to dinner at Golden Corral.
I was 4 1/2 decades old.
*How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?*
I've started move in a direction that means more than just black, and I've discovered that red feels good on me.
*What kept you sane?*
A wolf plush or two?

Obama.

The election of course.

I miss people as the were in the past, I think I've learned to deal with it.

No matter how much of an ass it makes me look like, have more back bone and be more discerning about people who propose that they want me in their lives, or who I want to be in my life.

1. Will you be looking for a new job?
Probably.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
I'm not sure, may give looking for a lady friend a go.

Possibly.
4. What will you do different in 2013?
Hopefully, I will be doing in 2013 what I thought I was going to be doing for some time now, and building the foundation of my new life. I guess the biggest difference will have a lot to do with the lesson I learned, and I plan to be a little more stern and methodical concerning who I let into my life and what I let them do, and who's lives I choose to be part of and what I'll be doing.

Get past the starting line.
6. What will you not be doing in 2013?
Caving in to dishonest ass holes because they get pissy and hurt when someone actually stands up and expects them to be accountable for what they say and do.

A few cons, hopefully a fair amount of meets, and a road trip or two.

Numbers and letters comprised of pixels that vary in brightness depending on what device I look at them from.
10. What can't you wait for?
Getting to camp, run around in the woods naked, skinny dip in the river and or lake, and what ever else comes up.
11. What would you like to see happen different?
I'd like to see the seeming mis-perception that superficiality, shallowness, and selfishness are necessary for survival, abandoned.
I'd also like to see more of a realization that sometimes people are deadset against the shit mentioned above and know that people can do better, and would quite acting like people who love them are trying to make them look worthless when they wont put up with anymore than what they should have to put up with people. Like me, when I'm countering the selfishness being exhibited by someone I love, its the selfishness that I'm putting down, it is the enemy, not the person I love.
I dont believe people are bad people (and I'm dead set on the idea), but I believe people do bad things... And I'm gonna call the shots as I see em. Rather than get pissy and defensive because you think by asking if you realize how selfish you're acting or pointing out that something you did or said was pretty rude and / or hurtful, mean that you are shit, why not wise up to what's really being said?
12. What about yourself will you be changing?
Tough love is gonna be a little tougher. I've assessed that when I've backed down and opted to be kinder when facing people being superficial and shallow, especially when they dont have to be, they tend to think that it means that they can take advantage of me, and that by backing down and catering to that kind of selfishness, I'm condoning it, not anymore. I'm not gonna be too apologetic for it either, if you've been or are being that way, that's your job.
Pointing out that your being selfish isnt being selfish, the solution isnt bitching out the person who pointed it out or trying to put them on a guilt trip for making you feel worthless, the solution is to either explain, with more than just invalid cliche, that they misunderstood your actions, or just stop being selfish.
The same goes if you're being superficial, shallow, or just being a plain ass wipe.
So, what's gonna change about me? No more submitting to being out to be the bad guy just because I make those calls when I see them.
13. What happened in 2012 that you didn't think would ever happen?
I ended up becoming a citizen of Pennsylvania.

Nope, I'll be the same old same old Billy I've always been. No need to be any nicer or loving than I already am. I mean, really!?!?

Yep.

It's probably better to direct those energies on bettering my relationship with an extended family.

Yes, but I'm not going to be a push over for people who insist on being rude and selfish.
21. Do you expect 2013 to be a good year for you?
I don't really try to expect much, but being a realistic enthusiast like I am, it does seem to look like it will be a good year, and definitely better than 2012.
22. How much did you change from this time last year 'til now?
In most respects, I mean as far I'm concerned personally, as in the core me, not much at all. If, on the other paw, you're talking about my "life", quite a bit, and that is changing for the better every minute right now.

I wish!

Some of them.

I will be less subject to being taken advantage of and hurt by people who choose to be superficial, shallow, selfish, and ignorant, among other things.

Taking the bus and train back to Erie. :-(

I was supposed to have, but according to that person that would be too difficult for them.
