Slowly, SLOWLY, deteriorating. Really, most of the people I still watch on FurAffinity refuse to migrate to Inkbunny because of the cub stigma. Question is, where will they go next once FA goes down?

There's that. There's also the fact that when they kick out someone, it can cause other people to leave at some point. Like the people who watch your account or BBMBBF's account. If those were the two top people a person watched, they have no incentive to be on the site anymore. And considering the mass exodus since the no cub rule last year, this happened on a much larger scale. At some point, the advertisers or donors will just decide it's not worth spending money on the website, and they cut off their funding, and without funding, the website will shut down. It goes back to what you said. If most of the administration doesn't care anymore and the traffic continues to dry out, then why keep the website around?

It won't happen overnight. It will be a very slow burn before one day there's just no more FA.

Also, when you look at the numbers, FA didn't actually lose that many users since the whole cub thing (which started the general trend of hating mods IMO), nor did IB and SF gain that much. Alexa stat tracking speaks volumes on that.

Theres a rumor going around that a new site that is gonna be modded by unbiased individuals will be going up at some point on a privately owned server so no restrictions on art. According to the same rumors it will also have a blacklist feature hiding submissions tagged with a keyword you wish to not see.

Yes inkbunny is kind of the the reluctant option to FA. This other site i was talking about i beleive is gonna be called weasle will be kind of like FA but with better mods and features.

Becuse he was advertising his account on IB, which has the Babysitting Cream game, which is against their TOS. Also, IB in general has lots of cub stuff, which is against the TOS. So, their reason for deleting the journal was that it had a link to a site/account which contains material that is in violation of their TOS. Their logic is that even if the stuff isn't posted on their site directly, linking to a site that is filled with it is basically tantamount. It makes sense, even if it is a stupid rule to have in place.

Sorry, I see how that was unclear. I agree, it isn't a stupid rule, and it is pretty obviously a necessary one. I indeed meant that whether or not the content should be banned in the first place was up for debate and, in my opinion, it is a stupid (or at least unnecessary) ban.

But you forgot one specific detail. You need to be a member of IB to even see said content otherwise it will be blocked out. Thus they gave him a warning for what cannot even been seen unless you're a member. So in short, they made an excuse in an attempt to freely ban someone.

No, you just click on the highly visible tab that says Allowed Ratings. Granted, guest users are indeed restricted on default, but all you do is click the allowed ratings, check the boxes that say you are 18+ and agree to the rules, and check the boxes to allow nudity and sexual stuff. Any person can do that without having an account. So yeah, upon first clicking the link they may have a content ban/rating warning thing, but I imagine it would even say in that warning how to change the settings. Even if they don't spell it out, it is really easy to do. IB does not keep the content that is in violation of the FA ToS under lock and key, visible only to members. Anyone who changes the settings can freely access it. Thus, while it is a bit roundabout, the bottom line is that it was a link to a massive amount of material that violates their ToS. They are technically within their rights to have removed the journal, although it is also fair to speculate that ulterior motives were at play. It is hard to believe that they just happened to go through every single link on the site to make sure it doesn't in any way lead to stuff they don't allow. But this case is pretty cut and dry, even if their motives were shady.

Exactly. They think posting a link to banned material is tantamount to posting said material straight to their site, and they are technically correct. It is still a stupid rule, but the fact is they have a right to have a no cub rule, even if people disagree and they are being assholes about enforcing it. So removing links to sites that contain cub stuff--or anything else that violates their rules--is perfectly legitimate.

FFF-Ethics and politics. I do find it amusing to see how far a corporate mindset will go to achieve it's own ends. As they say, "Many hands lessens the work," kind of goes paw in paw with, "Millions can't be wrong!" sure they can be wrong, all it takes is a mob mindset to set something in motion, then anything can be achieved.

I wish, and also wish that people did, and did not know about this. It's just unfortunate that as with a lot of things, something needs to give or budge for something else to make room. And in this case, IB filled a void outside FA. to that extent the deconstruction of structure that built it.

Honestly, I really think people are getting too touchy about this. I can understand being angry because of being barred from displaying your art due to a TOS that previously was not there. But hey, theres other sites :/ I use this site and FA (used to use dA but quit due to lack of interesting art). Really I use FA to find really nice furry themed art and IB to find really nice adult art x) *Is probably throwing a rock in the hive with this comment*

I made an FA account just to play Xadera's Famous text game and then i found Fenoxo and the somehow i got to here so without FA i would never discovered die Lehrer, AvalonX

you know, I remember when FA was first made, I figured it was a response to another site, Sheezyart, installing a "no porn" policy. The site's tagline was even "where free expression reigns." now here it is a few years later and they're banning certain kinds of porn. I guess their new motto is "where certain pre-approved forms of expression reign."

perhaps this change in TOS is because the policy of credit card companies which is where the majority of the money comes from to keep the site and these are against sex with minors but to ban the account because she has a link that has this type of content seems overkill.

Ahhhh... The joys of being a non-artist member of FA... I don't have to worry about my work (or links) being banned for (stupid) ToS offenses.

Unfortunately, there's a few artists over there I watch that haven't given up and moved over here yet, so if I'm going to keep an eye on their work, I have to keep my account. With the politics (and basic ass-hattery) that issue might be resolved on it's own, though.

FA never captured my attention, I went there a few times, but I never created an account, (I have one on SF).
To be honest from what I've seen and heard of it, it's not the worst thing about this fandom, but it is going down.
I myself love cub so I may be bias in saying this but they shouldn't be banning a hole catogory like that, and I think they have reasoning behind it, but a murderer also has a motive and reason, doesn't make it right.
all that being said, AvalonX here should be able to have his game there too, not just a link, but they sure as hell shouldn't get shitty about said link...
And honestly I hate censorship, I mean seriously, we see what we see, it's like if you walked into a little girls rooom while she was changing you'd see it all, there's no black bar across her chest, why should any of life be censored?
It's like looking in the bath and seeing a blurry stick where a penis should be, why is the cool?
What is the point, if people are shallow and despite enough to go out of there way to see a naked little girl, they will despite if you covered it on the internet or not.
Anyway, that's just my stupid rant...
And p.s. people if you use another language, do it right, but that being said, if someone doesn't, don't get hung up on it and correct it more then the necessary once. It's seriously just annoying if you do and makes you look weird and/or (for lack of better word) lame, (as in you have no life). Funny story. I play another game that charges 6.99 for the beta and 15 after the game is released if you didn't play beta. They are a small group that work together and get an update out once every 2 weeks. This is all while working on other games and doing the same with them. Their updates are significant to say the least. Great work. How long have you been working on one game? Yet you can post some stuff like this. I think it's less of them being unfair and more about someone, not saying any names, being immature. Get over it. TOS was violated, you were warned, oh well. The correct answer for that should have been "My bad. Sorry about that. It won't happen again. Then bragging about the response. Very disappointed. You have a good life, I'm bored of the immaturity. You have potential, don't let it get away from you by concentrating on other things. Wish you the best and sorry that I won't see what you become but I know of other people with talent that can be professional and won't let petty things block them from their bright futures, so I'm going to help them out a little. I think the only downside I can see about Inkbunny is somewhat loose wording on the rules and no human-like character x furry getting it on allowed (though linking in the discription isn't off limits, unlike apparently FA). I mean is there any other problems with inkbunny? I can't see any at all... less trolling here, it's not a DDos magnet FA was (though I honestly question the validity of the attacks, vs. just plain horrible sever programming, I get a feeling it was more programmer error then down right DDos attacks)

but that's just my two cents there.
