Well, the worst storm to hit this south region of the state (West Australia) in 10 years began to sweep through on Saturday completely knocking out the power until late yesterday evening. Our back patio nearly collapsed and turned into loose debris but it held up once we took down the shade cloth that had acted as a big sail when the wind blew through.
All in all though we got luckier than a lot of people, over 100,000 homes went without power and it could still be days before every single house is back up and running. All the food in the fridge is kinda useless now though, but oh well, we probably needed to clean it out a bit anyway.
