Alright, I've got several people lined up for their make-up sessions. Now time to schedule new sessions so I can get those last two people refunded.
For newer watchers, the short version is this: $200 gets me as your Art Slave drawing whatever you want within the guidelines below for 5 hours while you watch and give direct feedback/correction/direction; $100 gets 2.5 hours.
However, I'm doing Slavestreams a little differently from here on out. First, I'm not scheduling a whole month in advance anymore. That was convenient and handy for the most part, except when something went wrong. To try and minimize complications when Life throws a curve, I'm only scheduling streams a week or so in advance now. Second, it was suggested to me that I should let people offer to throw in extra payment in exchange for extra consideration in getting the limited slots. I am sure some people will have something ugly to say about this, but after being completely shut down for a month from the volume of work I was taking previously, I've decided I'm going to be open to this. The base price remains the same, and offering to throw in extra does not guarantee pick preference, nor does only paying the base price mean you'll always be outbid. I honestly don't expect this option to be used very much at all. Last, I won't >require< you to be present for your full session since some people have expressed complaint about that much of their free time being consumed. HOWEVER, if you choose to commission a stream session and not be there, that means you're certain you will like what I produce. I'll do my best of course, but there will be no correction phase if I interpret your description differently than what you imagined. So this is an At Your Own Risk option.
So, that said, here we go:
I will be taking three slots at a time. Half-sessions will be accepted if two or more people request them and we can work out scheduling them on the same day.
I'm listing the Procedure first this time in hopes people may actually follow it a bit more. But you still need to be sure to read the full terms before contacting me, please.
PROCEDURE:
If you're interested, >EMAIL< me at poorwolfy at gmail, with "slave stream" in the subject. (I am happy to answer questions and will update this journal with answers as necessary). Include in your email;
A. A short list of brief general descriptions for what you would be asking me to draw (we can get into specific details and references if I accept yours).
B. List two or three dates in the currently open window (May 29th through June 5th) that would work for you, in order of preference. If you get a slot, I will give you the first date still available at that time. State whether you would like to be kept on a roll-over list to be considered for the same day/time the following week if slots are full for the week you applied.
C. Pick a start time between 11am and 5pm US Central time (gmt-6). If you are overseas and need a start time outside of that range, ask me and I will try to work something out.
D. Specify whether you want a public stream or a private/invite-only stream.
Emails that do not contain these 4 bits of information may be ignored, but I'll most likely just poke fun at you for not reading the full journal. :P Seriously though, please put all these in the first email, it's just easier and saves time. Whenever it's a bother to get through the first few steps, it makes me less inclined to select that person for a slot.
Specific payment details will be given in email upon accepting your request for a slot. Payment will be made ONLY after I have accepted your request and confirmed your scheduled date/time. Do not try to send payment before I've instructed you to do so.
RESTRICTIONS:
1. Won't draw: poop/fart/diapers, females, femmy/girly/herm characters. Anything else, ask me. I love the freaky stuff, don't be scared.
2. If you want my characters involved, additional content restrictions may apply. Again, just ask. "Wolfblade" is off the menu, all other characters are up for grabs.
3. If you want someone else's character/fursona, they'll have to note me here on IB (if they only have an FA account, then they can note me there) giving me permission >before< the stream session, and I'd greatly prefer it if they will be watching the session as well.
DISCLAIMERS:
1. I make no guarantees for quantity of artwork produced. If I feel like what you've gotten is less than what you should have, I will do free overtime of my own volition or something to make up for it.
2. These are quality versus quantity. The fewer images you ask for, the better each one will look. Likewise, if you want more individual drawings, detail and quality will be traded for speed and volume. Stuff like backgrounds/machinery/detailed costumes/armor will obviously greatly reduce speed/quantity. If left uninstructed, I lean more towards quality over quantity. If you want faster simpler drawings, be sure to say so and prod me if I am spending too much time/care on one pic. I prefer to give you fewer, better pics over a heap of sloppy ones, but that's your call.
3. Colors. I can do flat colors fairly quickly now, IF you have color references and if you let me know at the start so I can be sure to pay extra attention to keeping my linework closed. I am still >SLOW< at shading. It will eat a large chunk of time. In other words, ask for colors at your own risk. :P IMPORTANT: If you want to commission someone else to color linework you got from me, you need to check with me to okay them before approaching them for the job. I don't mean to be a douche, but many people are still exploring their potential, and not quite at the minimal level of ability where I'm okay with what amounts to a collaboration.
4. I don't draw "private" art. If you want something to remain unposted, that's usually okay if stated up front, but anything I draw may be shared by me with friends and will be included on future art cd releases.
5. By default, these streams will be private. If you want your session to be public, that is your call, but fair warning: I get distracted quite easily with a full room of people. Feel free to crack the whip if I drift too far. Most people have fun with public streams, and it's a decent way to gain some exposure and meet new people. They're like little chat parties. If I feel I've let myself be seriously excessively distracted, I'll likely go a bit into free overtime to make up for it (I do this often), but that will be at my discretion. Private streams are less distracting, but I'm less likely to go into voluntary free overtime.
6. References are required. If what you're wanting is intended to be used AS a reference image, I'm that much more particular about getting it precisely right. I will go back and forth with you on every little detail and be fairly particular about getting it as "right" to you as is reasonably attainable. I >ENJOY< doing reference work, and doing my best to get every detail to your liking, but a serious reference sheet image will likely consume an entire stream.
7. I retain all rights to any drawing I produce. Buyers are granted license to post/distribute their commission, and limited conditional license for alteration. That means if you want to get someone to color your commission, I have to approve of your desired colorist first (even if it's you). If someone comes to YOU asking to color it, the right to grant them that permission is not transferred, so they still need my approval. No other transfer or release of rights is given or implied. I feel this to be a fair reflection of the general assumed terms most furry artists do commissions under, just spelled out clearly for those who mistakenly assume that simply commissioning an artist grants them more rights than it actually does. If you aren't okay with that, don't commission me.
So, as always, thank you all for your continued encouragement and support. You're all amazing. Also, I do still intend to do the speed sketch sessions as much as I can. Hopefully once a week or more. So those aren't completely going away now that I'm back to full stream sessions.
