New to Inkbunny!

by
...But definitely not new to furry! I've been around since 2004. I usually post as "wingsofjudas" (it's been my main online alias/pseudonym of the past 11 years) but since I'll be putting adult works here I thought I'd try and keep a little bit of distinction. Most people in art communities know me as Judas, this is also my self-representing anthro character's name. A lot of people also know me for my character Kade, he's a real show stealer, you'll be seeing a lot of him.

I also own wingsofjudas.com, its essentially an archive of my life's work of the last six years and I hope to keep adding to it until the day the Big Guy feels foolish enough to take me on. It also has a blog (basically a mirror of my Livejournal), a guest gallery, profile, and other goodies BUT I'm always finding myself short on time so the darn thing is getting tweaked and then updated with the backlogged (and un-scanned art) of about two years. Wingsofjudas: redefining mediocrity

I really like this site so far! I very much like the policies and philosophy behind the site! The donation and art purchasing features are pretty neat too! No human art is a bummer but I kind of like keeping it separate anyways and understanding the legal reasons behind that makes it forgivable. The layout is quiet aesthetic and easy to navigate. I like that they can reject people at their discretion and I'm hoping trouble will be avoided by not letting certain people (with years and endless lists of trouble within the community) join the site. Though if they do and start trouble, I have a feeling something will actually be done about it here (not allowing images intending to harass is a great step in this direction). Fingers crossed! I'm not even thinking of anyone specifically (or rather there's a handful of people that come to mind right off the top of my head) and I think we've -all- been there. Let's keep this an enjoyable community and tolerate no drama!

Woo, tangent!

Anyways, I want to start uploading some things I really like, a little older but stuff I'm especially happy with, but man, my scanning/editing skills of the past were atrocious so I'm going to dig out the original art and get some nice versions of it. I'll also have higher quality/larger digital files to buy and prints, should anyone be interested. Bonus for me, I can update my site with better images too ;P

Updates soon, hopefully!

Legal reasons behind not posting human stuff? Now you have me curious. I skimmed the philosophy but didn't make it all the way through. What's up with these legal reasons?

"No human characters are permitted, no matter how stylized or “cartoon-like” they are. Only non-human species are allowed. Characters that are essentially human (pixies, faeries, elves, orcs, trolls, etc) or just have ears/tails or other superficial animal features applied (but that otherwise look human), are also not allowed.

Exception for stories: Human characters are permitted in stories only so long as they are not involved in sexual situations of any kind.

This rule exists because of agreements with our hosting and payment service providers, to allow our site to be viewed without restriction from most countries, and because Inkbunny is an art site exclusively for artwork of furry characters. There are lots of other great sites where you can upload your art that contains human characters."

It was in the Acceptable Content Policy. I'm assuming it has something to do with bestiality or maybe just adult art, I ran into a lot of restrictions for erotic human art when I was hunting for a web host and furries might be fictional enough not to cause problems when it comes to adult restrictions.

It's mostly the bestiality thing, yeah. Also I think it doesn't count as "porn" for some people unless it's humans. :-)

Aaaah, I see! Thank you for showing me, I greatly appreciate it. It makes sense though. I feel bad for thinking it was just to make it a furry website, but it's good to see that it wasn't bias or anything that inspired the rule. Yay, I like this site more and more!
