A Rare Personal Journal

New Pen!;
I just received my new pen and journal ordered from jetpens.com

While I am a digital age bunny I love fancy pens. I carry my Kaweco Sport medium nib with me everywhere I go. Seeing people's expression when I pull out my fountain pen to sign a receipt is priceless. While it is perfect for signing and quick jots, writing with a medium nib is hard for me. My handwriting isn't fast or large enough to keep it from being too thick.

The Lamy Safari, charcoal with black clip & nib, is the newest addition to my writing utensils. It looks so cool and the fine nib writes like a dream. The scratchy feel of a bran new nib makes me twitter mt ears in joy. I purchased the standard ink adapter for it but want to give Lamy ink a try first. I have to admit I am a little afraid of using bottles and welled pens since I love having a pen that is not only elegant but is something I can use every single day. Antiques are cool to look at but I want a tools.

The journal I bought is a Red Excompta with replacable insides. It's sadly WAY smaller than I wanted it to be since the top 5th of the page is header. I'll manage though. It feels great and they claim some of the best paper.

On My Writing;
My latest story has gotten me a whole bunch of faves, comments, and even some watches. Considering how happy I am with the story getting feedback about it is delightful. I was honestly a bit shocked and nervous since the last two things I posted received zero feedback until I posted "One More for Old Time". I hope the feedback keeps coming and my next story is even better!

I know I say this a lot but I want to hear your opinion of my works, good or bad; feedback is always appreciated.

Last Thoughts, a contest idea;
I know I'm not the first or last writer to beg and pander at their audience for feedback. It sometimes feels like writing is a second class art compared to drawing in the furry fandom (I can only wonder how musicians feel). It is just that much harder to draw attention to writing since it takes longer to digest and is not so easily perused or "spot judged" in some gallery.

I don't know if I am doing anything original here but I had an idea to offer out what services I have, writing, as a trade for said feedback. I somehow feel like this would go over like a lead ballon but it's worth at least mentioning. A randomly chosen fur would be given a free short story commission for taking the time to offer their opinion. It just might be a way to not only give back to those who contribute but also spread out thematically and get more eyes.
