As someone who proudly breathes fire, enslaves people, and oppresses the weak... I take great offense to this. j/k

Don't you know it starts the countdown to the end of the world.. The planet that was to end the world in 2012 will do it this time
MarcusKoopa

The world has been ending since we were able to comprehend that things COULD end. It hasn't happened in thousands of years, it's not happening now. It wont happen  until the sun gets into its elderly phase and swallows the planet whole.

For us the end of the world is the end of human life. Rather human centrinic but what can I say
MarcusKoopa

Pffft. Wont be happening any time soon either. We've bounced back from a breeding population smaller than CHEETAHS. Seriously, we've had INSANELY narrow genetic bottlenecks, but we fuck so hard we just come back. Unless you essentially scour life off the entire world, pop all the bunkers, keep us out of space, and utterly buttfuck the environment so hard we can't LIVE in it...we'll be fine. Humans can live on just about NOTHING. The Inuit did great on just snow and seal blubber.

It's like with global warming.. if it happens, a lot of poor people are going to die. And not America poor.. I mean Africa poor. We'll maybe lose, at most, a few billion. That sound AWFUL, but we have people to spare. In the long run... humanity will shrug and carry on as if nothing happened.
Beartp

if you are one of those billion doesn't seem so spare
MarcusKoopa

*chuckles* Life's only purpose is life itself. I've already decided I'm not going to breed, so genetically my line is already dead. I don't want to die tomorrow, but we're all dying, kiddo. And in the game of life, I have nothing to lose.

Well it won't end tomorrow anyways. there is a whole speel on it basically this is a sign and X time later hidden planet something or other will do something ending the world.  Now mind you this that hidden planet was suposed to cause the world to end in 2012

Way I heard it was that the galactic alignment would somehow blast the magnetic field off the world and we'd be soaked with radiation.
Beartp
6 years, 8 months ago
Well there is some worry about that for a realistic reason. The magnetic poles swap from time to time and we are over due for it to happen. many many ways its been predicted and I can't do anything about it so MEH
MystBunny

Nah this was about the alignment between the earth, the sun, and the center of the galaxy somehow removing the magnetic field completely in 2012
MarcusKoopa

They're swapping right NOW. As we SPEAK... it happens about a foot a year. You'll never actually NOTICE. They don't just suddenly fly from one pole to another and even if they did, it wouldn't cause any noticeable effects except some neat auroras for a few weeks. Solar flares are the only stellar phenomenon we need to worry about aside from direct impact events.

Ok.. dude.. Was this whole thing sarcastic? Cause you have to state that. Poe's Law.
Beartp

not quite sarcastic about the whole indicating the end of the world thing.. AS for possible dangers from stellar matters I doubt we know everything that could effect us
