Sorry this is up late. Work and Sonic Mania had me distracted. :D Awesome game, by the way. I'll talk more about that later. For now, this episode of Sonic Boom was hilariously awesome! Especially considering it went with the whole babysitting cliché, since I talked about how last week's episode suffered from a predictable plot with 80's cheesy cliché-ness. I think it's because there's more variety with the babysitting one, so all kinds of hijinx can occur, making it more unpredictably hilarious. Plus, I planned on using this as a plot of sorts for my future Team GFs comic, so I figured this could give me some ideas. :D
With that being said, here's my review for this episode of Sonic Boom, which aired on August 12th, 2017.
"Three Men and My Baby!" (Ha! :D )
The episode starts with Knuckles driving his... unique monster truck through the canyon. I say unique, because this has a set of tires on the roof! Like, it has its own version of the spindash. XD We also see Sonic & Tails riding behind latching on Knuckles vehicle with their enerbeams while on hoverboards.
...and started fumbling with it and loses control of the car. (Okay, first off, who thought it was a good idea to let Knux drive in the first place? Second, this is more or less what I would imagine might happen if Domino's actually did go through with their oven in their delivery cars idea... XD ) Somehow, Knuckles manages to drive his way to Hedgehog Village and was about to collide with Lady Walrus. As Sonic & Tails disabled their enerbeams and let go of Knuckles' vehicle and the pizza lands on Knux's lap (Ouch!), Knux manages to steer into a palm tree at the last second. As Tails commented on how lucky that no one got hurt, the palm tree ended up falling on Lady Walrus! XD (I'm sorry, but that was pretty funny.) Later, at the hospital, Team Sonic promptly apologized to Lady Walrus about what happened. Thankfully, she suffered no major injuries, but she'll still need some rest for the next few days. Her son, Stratford, offered to take care of her. Lady Walrus then wondered who would take of her baby, Chumley. (You know, the same baby who's been put in dangerous situations for most of the series. XD ) The trio, still feeling bad about what happened, offers to babysit, saying they save the village every week, so watching one baby couldn't be that hard. The next day, however, proved to be anything but easy, as Chumley was crying and throwing things all over Sonic's Shack. Knuckles: "Why Would She Trust Us With Her Baby?! We Dropped A Tree On Her!" XD Tails figures that the baby must be hungry, so Sonic offers to feed it a chili dog. Tails points out that he can't eat solid food. Sonic then says to put it in the blender. Knuckles then picks up the baby. Sonic quickly said he meant the chili dog, not the baby! (Jesus Christ, Knux! What The Fuck?!) https://twitter.com/AlanTheWriter/status/89676510607532... Once the chili dog was blended, Knuckles takes a spoon full of the stuff and plays the airplane game to feed him. Sonic then comments that taking care of a baby is easy and they totally got this. Then...
Well, take a wild guess at what would happen if you fed a baby a chili dog... It didn't take the guys long to figureit out as the answer was right under their noses. :D They soon go to Amy's house to beg her to help change Chumley's diaper. Amy flat out refused. The smell started to get worse as the baby cried. Soon, at Tails' Workshop, Team Sonic, now wearing their spacesuits ( XD ), attempt to change his diaper themselves.
Later, after changing his diaper again, the guys try to get the baby to sleep, but to no avail, as he continued to cry. Tails suggested singing a lullaby and Knuckles liked that idea and decided to take it to the next level. We soon see the trio in their Dude-itude (or Dreamboat Express, take your pick) attires and sang a... unique remix of Rock-A-Bye-Baby.
Unfortunately, as entertaining as that was, it did nothing to calm the baby down as he continued to cry. As Knux said they gotta put this gear back in the Dude-Mobile, Tails finally figures out what to do. Soon, we see Chumley fast asleep as a mobile was above his crib. Sonic & Tails sighs with relief as Tails explains that a mobile's motions and sounds appeals to an infant's simple, underdeveloped mind. As soon as he says that, we see Knuckles asleep near the crib. XD Pretty sure it's from exhaustion as Sonic & Tails were about to nap themselves... until an explosion is heard, waking everyone up, including Chumley! Team Sonic step outside and, of course, it was Eggman and his robots. As Knux tended to Chumley, Sonic & Tails easily dealt with the robots with spin attack and an enerbeam whip respectively. Needless to say, Sonic was ticked off with Eggman. https://twitter.com/ItsGregHahn/status/896989082328289281 Eggman then spun Sonic around in his Egg Mobile and flings him towards Knuckles. As they collided, Chumley gets thrown in the air. As Tails threw a wrench at a Buzz Bomber, he quickly flies over and catches the baby. Sonic & Knux recovered as Knuckles delivers a massive ground pound punch, annihilating a row of Crabmeats. As Chumley giggles at the display, a Buzz Bomber fires at Tails, causing him to drop Chumley... right in Eggman's hands. As Eggman complained about how sticky and smelly he was, Chumley started pressing random buttons on Eggman's Egg Mobile! This causes his Egg Mobile to shut down and drop to the ground as well as disable all of his robots! XD As Sonic dashes over to take Chumley back, Knuckles kicks the Egg Mobile like a soccer ball, sending Eggman off over the horizon. :D
Chumley giggles as the heroes had their victory. (Ha! Justice makes him giggle! :D ) Sonic commented that they're finally getting the hang of this. And indeed it looks like it, as we see a montage sequence the next day. (Boy, the creators and writers sure love them montage sequences...) With Chumley in a baby harness worn by Knuckles, the guys feed him his baby bottle, which catches the attention of Perci, Staci, and Zooey.
The guys then head to the toy store and give the baby a stuffed giraffe. We then see Sonic giving Chumley a high speed piggyback ride across the village.
One scene was a bit odd as we see in Tails' place Sonic playing with Chumley and Tails tending to housework as Knuckles comes in like a tired father getting back from work. (If I had to guess, it'd be like that one SpongeBob episode and Knux's "job" is just watching TV at Sonic's Shack. XD ) Moving on, we then see Knux pushing Chumley on a swing. He then pushes him up so high, he flies up in the air, causing Sonic to catch him. We then see Tails giving Chumley a plane ride... in his actual plane. (Those 3 must be miracle workers. That's the first non-fussy baby in a plane, ever! :D ) Team Sonic now made their way back to Sonic's Shack with Chumley in his baby carriage as the sun was setting. They were all tired from their fun activities as they all went to sleep. The next day, Knuckles woke up and looked at Chumley's carriage. He then asks Sonic & Tails a simple question: "Hey, guys. Quick question about that baby we were watching. *Yawns* Anyone know where he is?" !!! Yup, somehow, Chumley was not in his carriage, causing Sonic & Tails to panic. The guys looked all over the shack, but no sign of the baby. That's when Sonic finds Chumley's stuffed giraffe outside the front of the house. https://twitter.com/AlanTheWriter/status/89722723541692... Worried that the baby may be in danger, the guys decide to look for Chumley in the most dangerous places in the area, starting with that volcanic crater on the outskirts of town. Sonic looked and... no Chumley. But...
(I bet stupid people will mistake him for Shadow, now. XD ) Knuckles looks up a palm tree, thinking the baby's up there. He kicks it and... no Chumley. But, he ends up getting hit in the head by 4 coconuts. XD Uhp, make that 5 coconuts. :D The guys looked high and low, and still nothing. They soon decide to check the most dangerous place they know... Meh Burger. XD (I honestly thought it was gonna be Eggman's base. XD ) Dave tells the guys that no babies have come by here all day. Team Sonic is relieved to hear that until they realized that they truly have lost the baby and, after another cheap shot at Sonic with the "no front door on his Shack" bit, were now going to have to break this to his mother. The guys knock on Lady Walrus' door and she answers. https://twitter.com/ItsGregHahn/status/897246004457611264 Sonic was about to tell her they lost her baby... until Tails sees Chumley walking on the roof! He manages to fly over and catch him as he was about to fall. Lady Walrus was impressed with how they've taken care of her baby. https://twitter.com/ItsGregHahn/status/896988373524463616 Later, back at the canyon, Amy hopes that the guys learned something from this and Sonic assures her that they have, saying they had a crash course in responsibility. Tails then said he added a throttle in the pizza oven in Knuckles' monster truck, saying that it now only works when he's parked.
XD And with that, the guys went off to continue their reckless activity in the beginning of the episode, much to Amy's frustration. :D As the episode closes, though, we see the stuffed giraffe hanging from the rear view mirror, as a memento of their fun times with little Chumley.
Like I said before, this episode was very enjoyable to me. Always great to see Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) involved in a funny situation. Pretty appropriate since Sonic Mania was released recently. I also like the fact that, after all these years, a Sonic series can still teach us valuable life lessons. :D
So... question: Is this what Full House was like? XD

Unlike you I watched this episode early (on Sunday) to make room for Mania when it comes out, anyway I honestly didn't like the episode much, I know which movie they're refferencing but this idea has been done in almost every western Sonic show and some did it better imo.
