Dissapointing complete strangers

Made a comment in response to a thread a few days ago and had a completely diffrent individual intergect into the conversation to rebuke me.  When I went to rebuttal the new comer I found out they had already blocked me.

It was an odd experience, that I could so thoroughly outrage and piss someone off obliquely without any intent to.

I'm not a troll, I generally wait until I have established a relationship before needling or teasing someone.

But I respect the right of others to control who they interact with.  I don't like imposing.  Never thought I was a overly opinionated individual, and I try to be polite like my mother taught me.

Just a new experience to share.

I had that from a stranger too.  They were up in arms of me because they were apparently a social-injustice-warrior in defense of the anti-trans people in this week's furry drama.  Though in my case the user accused me of banning them after they ran out of apologetics.

As long as people don't become abusive or stalk others I don't feel a need to block them.  Only ever did it once way back near the start of the site.

I haven't seen the need to.

They accused me of blocking me and said they were wanting to mess up my page here...which is why I thought "well, fine, best to block you to protect my page then".  Weird times.

I rarely block people myself. Not to mention I'm planning on clearing my bans on the first of the year.

It can be a useful tool when needed.

But it's better to hope for reconciliation.

It is. Some people aren't too forgiving though.

I think I have two people blocked on FA, and here I have... 16, jesus christ that's a lot of bans. Half of the people on that list don't even have their accounts anymore.

Had a pop-u-fur do that to me once when they were trying for a pity party and I (respectfully) disagreed with them. I never block people myself because I always want to see what they say, and if needed have a record of it for future use.

Sensible

I know right.
Like when I made this big reply to someone and as I hit submit it couldn't happen.
So I said they blocked me, and they denied it. Yet I made a printscreen of the fact that I could not reply to them, so they had already blocked me before then.

The best part?
I was on their same side for the most part, I just disagreed with 1 segment.

There was a lot of knee jerk reactions going on about it.

I don't mind agreeing to disagree, but when you remove the option to be replied to it just proofs that you have nothing left imo.

I use block for trolls. On inkbunny, I unfollow if the person doesn't have cubs in their gallery. On FA, I unfollow if the person doesn't have porn. I tend to unfollow for bigoted posts. It usually has to be several, to confirm it wasn't a heat of the moment thing.

A most sensible approach.

And I even got a peep accusing me of trying to silence others.

this is a thing i find on the rise and fast. they attack your charicter, often with a strawman or just an outright "your  hitler" then block you.

it's the equvalent of calling sombody a butt head and then plugging your ears and chanting NAH NAH NAH I CAN'T HERE YOU!

Some people are just assholes and just wanna say what they wanna say and hear nothing else in retort.

It's perplexing more then anything.

But I'll carry on well enough.

If they try/do anything to selfishly proclaim they're right about not wronging you in any way, they're truely mindless hypocrites who have their narcissistic tendicies to look down upon you without credit.

I have been through that victimized state when I was prejudged multiple times almost a year ago. 5-6 months ago one of those people who'd already took away something or someone I loved I was starting to lose my mind in a process and wasn't myself back then. Now they'd suddenly picked on me for something I done no wrong whatsoever which made it worse on me and got fully depressed, wished for a lightning bolt to smite me to end my total suffering I've never asked for nor deserved such from their major perjuries.

I can't understand lingering vendettas, I'm more of a solve the situation and move on kind of guy.

I don't take pleasure in tormenting people.

I understand what you're saying and its appreciative.

I'm saying that there are certian variety of those types of people who can churn much problems and start growing its branch of trouble with different types of those likely scenarios than can devastate our lives in the process, changing us that our newly placed mental scars from our enemy-inventing predecessors will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

We can't easily forgive them for their inhuman actions anyways.

It's pretty disturbing that people do this frequently as of late and justify it as free speech.

Also the abuse you went through is called Gaslighting. I've lost a friend from the same type of abuse, it's awful.

I've read about the Gaslightning before some time ago in one of the wiki sources. It never taste satisfying at all.

Also I'm really sorry to hear about you losing someone.
