I'm glad e621 exists and many artists are cool with it, but if artists start treating it like their personal gallery, the site's purpose is ruined. Booru sites don't exist for fickle artists. They exist to protect art for the sake of its audience.

Times like this are an opportunity. When people use their freedom of speech to publicly identify themselves as haters and jerks, it is an opportunity to show them the door.
The number of scumbags on this site is less than 100%. So leaving (or temporarily going) is an option, but it is the nuclear option. Just knowing who is a jerk and lowering your expectations of them to match their behaviour is an option, or you could look at blocks or banning (on this site) if you really really never want to see or hear from them again.
