Words

To those with ears still reluctant to shun.

There is no safe place beyond your arms'-reach.

There are only safe people; and even then, rare and few.

You will remember more conflict, pain, misery, and doubt in your life than harmony, pleasure, joy, and assurance.

Courage is the act of standing amidst adversity, looking it in the face, and saying "I do not like you. I do not like what you say. I do not like what you believe. But, I accept your freedoms and acknowledge they are equal to mine."

The non-courageous find false and tentative serenity away. The courageous, and their disdain, remain; in a way, the community grows stronger for it, and definitely not in the way that those aspirited deem fit.

The grim prophecy fulfils itself, with no one there to bolster the voice that seemed to care; and they look back, scoffing at the voice for not having courage of its own without them.

Then forgotten, or the heart stemmed.

The paradigm shifts.

"To those with ears still reluctant to shun."

I will most always listen, but will not always agree with what is presented, context pending.
We most all wish to be listen to, but never like to be disagreed with. We all want what we say to matter, mostly if it involves each of our own perceived quality of life.

Disagreement in the face of diversity is always inevitable when an option for opinions is recognized by anyone, in one way or another, be it via words, or counteractive actions to the known context.

"There is no safe place beyond your arms'-reach."

So true. Far more true than most any may wish to think about or want to know.

The young mostly have a false feeling and security of near invincibility. That feeling can be enhanced by encouragement. Even encouragement to do what will most likely cost them their vary lives.

In a day to day living, we forget to be leery of the unseen teeth waiting to snap upon those whom don't see them coming. Sometimes in the form of our own kind, or that which is so tiny, we tend to not recognized they are even there, despite their mass numbers. It can be the smallest of things we don't even see that can make us sick or die from.

Deception is another we can also be blind to that can cost us much. Be it the deception of others, or even some self deception.

"There are only safe people; and even then, rare and few."

No, even an animal has the capacity to protect and care for those in need, and share love and comfort in the presence of another individual. Even far more than many humans care to with each other. There is a vary good reason that the saying "Dog is man's best friend." was even presented. At times, some of us can only find some comfort in life, beyond what can be found among our own kind. It is said love knows no bounds, that being the perceived bounds of race, gender, or even speeches.

The idea that good people to be with is far and few is part of why some turn to animals to gain what we struggle to gain form out own kind. Sure, a challenge is fun, but unattainable is only frustrating. In the end easy is thought to be less rewarding, but the lack of not ever having what we seek is even far less rewarding.

"You will remember more conflict, pain, misery, and doubt in your life than harmony, pleasure, joy, and assurance."

The negative is more profound, and needed to be remembered more, in hopes of a non repeat, be it via self actions, or suggested actions for others to take in our stead. We each can only do so much, without the cooperation of others to assist where any of us can't.

The positive is a comfort, the moment passes all to quickly wile in a state of euphoria enjoying that moment. When in lack of it, we tend to focus on what has possibly taken it way, that usually being something negative, and we think on that negative more as we try to see how to get those good moments back.

"Courage is the act of standing amidst adversity, looking it in the face, and saying "I do not like you. I do not like what you say. I do not like what you believe. But, I accept your freedoms and acknowledge they are equal to mine.""

Courage can also be foolishness, mostly when it counteracts what one should likely be doing in the face of self preservation.

Like the one guy who made a bet that if he put his head in front of a moving train it would knock him out. He won that bet, he is lucky he did not loos his life proving his side of the bet.

"The non-courageous find false and tentative serenity away. The courageous, and their disdain, remain; in a way, the community grows stronger for it, and definitely not in the way that those aspirited deem fit."

do you mean- "The non-courageous find false and tentative serenity anyway."?
"aspirited"?

I do agree that those whom are willing to fight for what they want rather than letting all moments of opportunity to make a desired change from the norm, or oppressing current conditions, will more likely make a more desirable living for ones self, and possibly others whom can take advantage of such changes.

A world of crime is a paradise to the most opportunistic and strong. A get what you can take kind of living. A world of order is a paradise to those whom wish to live without having to constantly look over their own shoulders in fear of what someone else may randomly do.

There is a balance between getting what one may want all the time, and living by the rules others may give.

A person who smokes and does not care where, can carelessly take the right and freedom to some clean air away from others they may be around. Making a law to ban all smoking can in tun pave the way to taking away any and all freedoms.

The act of drinking alone has had such an impact. Drink and one can have a real good time under the right settings. Drinking can also impair one badly enough to carelessly take away the fun or even life of others away, even unintentionally. Can, "I was drinking," be of any solace to those whom lost a kid to a drunk driver?

What one my wish to be doing for the fun of it, may not always be the right choice to be making. However, we protect the right to such choices, even if they can lead to a vary bad and well known outcome.

Having the right to hit a kid into behaving, because one is irritated by the actions of the kid is another far too many wish to have the right to do, without question. The fact that so many do it, is in itself a statement that they want the right to do it, even if doing so may damage the kid. They say, "Its my kid, I can raise him/her how I wish."

Add that want of right to the right to drink, and one can have a beaten to death kid by an angry parent.

So what should we have a right to fight for having in our lives? The freedom to choose, is it right?

Also, far too many confuse what having freedom is. Some say, they are given freedom. That is false. You are only given an allowance to do something by those whom say what you can to. Freedom is something taken from those whom may try to oppress a person with their own rules. And those rules can change at any time by the would be oppressor. Freedom is never something given.

"The grim prophecy fulfils itself, with no one there to bolster the voice that seemed to care; and they look back, scoffing at the voice for not having courage of its own without them."

??? I do feel a little confused by this statement. 0.o

What I do get from it makes me think of the idea some say, "if you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the outcome. If you thought it was going to be bad, you should have said or done something about it before hand."

However, what does a vote do if all the choices not only seem to be all bad ones, but also feel the vote itself is going to be ignored in the first place?

You ave the right and freedom to choose, but only the from choices we give you to make... Is this any kind of freedom at all?

The truly courageous may try for changing the system for the chance of having some real freedom. Who will stand up with the truly courageous and fight for freedom? What would total freedom be like? Wold it be good?

I like the idea of having the freedom to do as I wish, and would like to fight for it. I don't want others to feel they can freely beat me to death with a bat for fun (and some people are like that), just because they now have the total freedom to do as they wish.

"The paradigm shifts'

Change is good. Change can also be bad. Making a change can be better, for one may have more control over the outcome of change itself, if one puts some effort into helping such a change along.

Change is inevitable. Nothing entirely stays the same. Question is, what do we help to change, and what do we let change on its own? And most importantly, who should decide?

I am reminded of a song, in it states, "I'd like to change the world, but I don't know what to do. So I leave it up to you."
Now we have a government. And we still don't like what is done by it for us. As for me, just like in the words in the song, I don't know what to do... -.-
