My new job has turned out to be making me less money than I was expecting and sadly this means I'm struggling a bit to get by on both conquering the emerging depression as well as having hope things'll work out in the end. I'm also going to be cracking down on finishing one mainstay at a time since I really cannot keep having my attention split on fretting over the fact I have some mainstay chapters that are literally one chapter for maybe a year now. I hope to get more stories done in the future but for now I'm putting my efforts in finishing Growing Out of the Present. Until then, I advise folks here to maybe pursue leaving me something on kofi ( http://ko-fi.com/lotfsogay ) instead of here because I'm certain I've fallen behind so much on what I planned to do on Patreon and I can't let it distract me or make me feel any more guilty for not living up to what I hoped I could achieve here. Apologies, and most importantly my biggest thanks for supporting me thus far. It has honestly made my life better on many occasions.
I'll still likely post commissions, but refrain from doing five thousand word stories for them.
Hey man, people start and stop projects like this all the time. Don't focus on pushing quantity or even completed projects. Just write for the fun of writing itself. That's the whole point, right? To have a bit of fun stringing some words together to create an image or elicit an emotion.
If you're forcing yourself to write, it's not going to turn out as nice and you're not going to be as happy. Even if you have a burst of motivation, it is impossible to sustain forever.
So yeah, you don't have to justify yourself to anyone. No need to feel pressured
