Last month I went to G-fest with another good friend. In the art gallery there was two posters for fans to sign their best wishes to him. Of course I signed it. Not sure if he was able to see it among the other fans' but I hope he did. It's just a terrible shame I never got the chance to meet him... I didn't know him personally but I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for him and his dedication for bringing life to these monsters. He really was larger than life. He's reunited with his wife Kuniko Nakajima who died earlier this year at age 88. They're survived by their daughter Sonoe Nakajima.
I'll be taking it easy today in remembrance of him. Probably watch some of my favorite performances of his. Godzilla, war of the gargantuas, rodan, varan. Maybe a few others like Frankenstein conquers the world and mothra vs Godzilla.
