Understood, it sucks when artists just run off with your money. If you can't do the job just admit it and send a refund

If I can´t contact the artist than they can´t give a refund (now paypal will refund me and get the money from her)

What a shitty thing for them to do. I can understand an artist being burned out on commissions, but that doesn't give them the right to waltz off and steal your money. Here's hoping PayPal will get you your money back, and I'm very sorry this person saw fit to treat you this way. You don't deserve that at all.

Thanks I had allready artist who where burned out from commissions but they talked about it and either offered refunds or asked for time or just where open to talk I once waited around 3 years on a commission but in the end I got my money back and the commission and a apology
I am quit ready to talk with artists that is not a problem I also have no problem waiting but no contact whatever I really get mad about that

Oh yeah, cutting off all contact is not acceptable at all. Delays are one thing, but when they stop answering notes or e-mails, that's when it's safe to assume you've been robbed.

but here I need to be hard (because it looks that she did open another account but I can´t prove it)

Tight budget or not, they were paid for a service or goods they did not deliver. So you're entitled to get a refund :3

One 'bad artist' experience as well
Artist (whose name you would recognize) takes, and is paid for a commission at a major con. Promised con delivery. Delay. No problem, mail it to me. SIX months later, no badge. Ask where my badge is, artist comes back with the 'righteous anger thing. By the time the badge was delivered, artist was downright nasty. Work was not up to their usual standards, either.

This is something I ran into and often, great artists, always kept their end of the commission, until it came to mine, of the few pieces I ever commissioned, 5 of them were never done and pretty much became vapor, can not find them anywhere on anything. They are partly the reason I don't ask about commissions anymore, it seems like they are competent do do them and have a quick turn around but some how I end up the short end of the stick.

I hate when stuff like that happens... It's why I'm only going to commission artists I know will get things done or if someone else highly praises them and they have a good art/time ratio.

I won't claim to be the next great master of art, but I always try my best with every picture :3

Never feel bad about something like this, you have paid for something and it looks like you won't get it in a acceptable timeframe, so going through PayPal to get your money back is the only solution in this situation, else you'd run into the possibility to get neither the artwork not your money back.
Furry needs to start getting this kind of behaviour straight, something like this isn't drama or pestering, it's normal business practices. Artists aren't entitled to unlimited amount of time to get something done or take the money and being a prick about updates. Most people tend to not being bothered to wait years for a commission because they know the artist or don't want to be uppity, this exact behaviour just enables situations like these even more.
