dumped the logs from it, and after some further research on the errors it's throwing, it's indicative of a hardware failure. Thankfully, it's still under warranty (I've only had this one since April of last year), so Best Buy will be doing a 'rapid exchange'. In 3-5 days I'll have a shiny new one, which should work at least as well as the one I have now, minus the blue screens. Hey, with luck, maybe it'll fix some of the other issues? At the very least I wont have a dead pixel near the middle of the screen!
I'm really glad they're switching me out for a new one. We've jsut discovered as wlel that both our desktops are starting to die. They're both identical, built at the same time, so I guess that's to be expected, but it's frustrating as hell. Between needing to fix that at some point soon, and other expenses, I won't be upgrading from the Surface anytime soon. x.X;;; Oh well. Just gotta deal with the random blue screens for a few days, and then I should be good to go!
