I've seen it and I gave my opinion. Basically, the remaster that is coming out this year is the only thing that will help incentivise the company to do more Dot Hack stuff. I don't have much faith, however, because at this point and time, it is a "forgotten" franchise and only the hardcore Dot Hack people like you and I will unfortunately make up those sales, because we are the only type of people to actually care. Everyone else is too busy reveling over Anthem and FarCry 5.

True, but I think you're forgetting that it also fills a void in RPG fans life. Beside Persona 5 and Final Fantasy, there haven't been a lot of RPG games this year. What's more, none seem to be coming out before the end of this year. I think Dot Hack could be very successful.
I think it will do okay at worst. The issue is with the fans who are on the fence, or who don't plan on getting the game because it's just GU that they dislike.
