Gundam is indeed very nice. I like the Origin OVA and even more so Gundam Unicorn.
00 is also pretty awesome with Setsuna probably being my favourite Gundam protagonist.
Strangely enough I seem to be in the minority when I say that I didn't like Iron Blooded Orphans too much. I mean it looked good but I found parts of it pretty boring. Plus they main character Mikazuki was more or less a wasted potential. At the end of the series he was exactly who he was in the beginning. None of the events had much of an effect on him.
I wonder what the next series will be.

I think they should have ended IBO with season 1. They accomplished their mission, it was dramatic enough and it had kind of a happy ending. Season 2 though.... Well, the fight against Hashmal wasn't bad but you knew from the beginning that Mikazuki wouldn't survive the series because of the effects of piloting his Gundam. I didn't like that. Also that laughable love triangle.... A little girl, a young woman who is hesitation incarnate and a guy with the emotional depth of a brick..... When that Bael Gundam was discovered I thought it could eventually become interesting again, but nope, they wasted that one completely.
I actually liked AGE and Reconguista in G more than IBO. And these two aren't even among the best shows. But at least they kept it interesting and their characters had a development to them. It wasn't just: "Yepp, our life is kinda crappy so let's take the worst possible course of action to make sure everything ends even worse while our main protagonist doesn't even care as long as that other guy tells him what to do." Heheh, I really didn't like IBO too much.

I'm currently watching Thunderbolt. I actually like that one quite a bit. It's also pretty dark but I really like the characters in this one. It's also one of those where it's a bit harder to decide who are the good guys and who are the baddies. Everyone has his point of view and you can actually understand why.

Same here. I'm actually wondering if there'll be a season 3 and so on. I mean it's not the usual format and the manga has quite a few volumes. I don't know the content though so I'm not sure how much of the story is actually already covered. But Thunderbolt is indeed awesome. It also contains one of my favourite mobile suits, which I actually have as a kit. The High Mobility Zaku. I seriously love that thing. Heheh. And the final fight in season one..... that was quite intense. That series doesn't hold back at all.

I kinda wonder how they want to top that with season two. I mean there is just one episode left and there are still quite a few things they need to attend to. I'm pretty sure that story will carry over to a season three or maybe even to a season four. And I'm quite ok with that.
What I think is impressive about the characters of this series is that they are both pretty much broken. They are very different from other main characters of other Gundam shows. I wonder how the conflict between them will be solved. Io's new Atlas should be quite a match for whatever Daryl will pilot for their showdown. Who knows? They were talking about the Psycho Zaku but in the first episode of season two there was also a Zeong visible for a moment. I really wouldn't mind seeing that one in battle again.
I really hope they'll continue this show for many more seasons. There is a story arc in the manga called "Sean the Sand Rat" which is about the guy who had lost both his arms and was used as a shield by Io in season one. It looks as if he died but according to the manga he actually survived and his story arc is really pretty cool. So I hope we'll get to see that one at some point.
I also hope that they'll release more interesting Gunplas in the nearer future. What Bandai came up with lately wasn't that interesting to me for the most part.
