Ramble

Often, I get too weirded out or ashamed to trade or commission my characters, especially anthro ones. Because they are so simple. I look at these rainbow foxes and tabbies with star-patterned fur, and glue-red-violet bears with wings; and then, there are simple designs like mine, that are no more than just an animal with human-like pelvis and probably longer thumbs. No hair, or colourful fur, or extra wings, or unusual patterns.

The only important thing I make is keeping the facial structure intended, but then, most artists ignore it anyway. Which saddens me a lot, as it's an often thing: to commission your own character, and get in return some other, third character who just so happens to share the same skin and eye colour.

I do understand many artists struggle with drawing same figure and facial structure, and I try to ask if I see lots of references with different shapes, about forms of nose/forehead/eyes/eyebrows/jaw/chin/etc., but still, from all the commission and trade I have received (which is a lot), only one so far looks like a character intended. But about ten years younger version of him.

Still, that wasn't the ramble I was going with. I'm new to the furry community, and, honestly, I'm not a furry, I just want diverse draw; but with my love of natural-looking characters, among bright and unusual ones, they look both very unique, but very dull.
