yep, the guys at Sega have actually put in the ability for the player to create their own custom character to play as in the upcoming game. Thankfully this has quashed the rumors that Bubsy will be in the game, though I'm sure we're going to see lookalikes of just about every anthro cartoon character that exists, prepare to see not only Bubsy but also Crash Bandicoot, Star Fox, Princess Sally and the Freedom Fighters, ANY background character from the Sonic Boom cartoon, heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see Felix the Cat or Mickey Mouse running around with Sonic come the holiday season.
Now, personally this should be a real litmus test for all of our OCs. If you can't create an avatar that looks like your OC then it means you have failed to create a character that actually blends in with the Sonic style and you should feel bad about yourself. I'm fairly confident that I can put Angel the Dog in the game, I'm just wondering if we'll have the ability to put a smiley face on their shirt.
I just hope these sanctioned OC's aren't canonically OP...
