Celebrating Mothers

Like most of you out there, I have a mother who gave birth to me several years ago.  She is, of course, a wonderful person who kept me fed and clothed despite my reluctance to help provide financially for the family between the ages of 0 to 5.  Like so many other moms out there, she filled my head with a continuous stream of doting motherly advice, usually consisting of, “Don’t play with that; don’t do that in public; I said don’t touch that; no, don’t play with those either; you’ll go blind if you keep doing that; how the #$%@ did you get it on the ceiling? and, of course, Again??  That’s the tenth time today!”

So to all of my lovelies, I implore you to go and give your mom a great big hug and thank her for not selling you to roving gypsy wolves that smelled oddly of cabbage and even to this day does not ask directly why you insist on wearing your kilt proper even in church – mainly ‘cause she knows the answer is, “’Cause that’s when I need it the most!”  =P

All my love to all of you,

-Dae

I am sure she would forgive you for not being able to help financially at the age of 5 years old or earlier.  As for kilts, if they were invented (as one story goes) to empower an army with Montezuma's revenge to continue their conquests, that's a strange purpose to wear one in church or in public for that matter. ;)
