This really start to get annoying.....

It happens more often that I see commissions I got uploaded by others on other sites and I just hate it. I know I'm not an artist myself but for them it's even worse since in every case I saw until know they didn't even gave credit.

The newest case I just found out about is this submission on deviantart:

http://paul316pa.deviantart.com/art/Playing-With-A-Yoshi-677019242

Always funny how people think they can do what they want...

I also don't really get how to report someone on DA because of permission issues since the "submit report" button isn't clickable for me and DA only offers me to read journals about art thief stuff and so on...

This is one of the reasons I paranoid before commissioning something. I'll spend quite a bit of money for someone else to upload it for free on a Twitter, Tumblr or on a Deviantart page.

It's frustrating and also hard to do something against it. One time I told someone he should remove the submission and only blocked me without doing anything. Later I created a new account and acting like I am the original artist and told him a lot of stuff I will do if he doesn't removed it and had a success with that. But I wasted a lot of time for it, people just think they can take anything they find.

There's not much you can do really. Lots of people re-upload other people's work all the time. Sure, it's annoying and I'd love to put an end to it, but there's no real way to end it all.

Oops. I may have left a comment on it telling them not to steal art >w>

But really this is the kind of S that I hate about people in this fandom. Just because it's on the internet and it made you pop a boner, doesn't mean you have the right to use it/claim it for yourself. Jfc

Thanks a lot x3 I only wrote a note to him since I don't want to make a public comment since I only got a SFW acc there and a lot of people who don't know about this side of me would see that >.<

It's really a mood destroyer and also consumes time I could spend on better stuff. At the end it is the work of the artist and my money/idea that's in the picture. They don't seem to understand what meanings all that stuff have for the commissioner and it just get uploaded like it's nothing or that I paid for everyone to use it.....

No, they don't. And I think the worst part of it is that like, for me, the art ends up feeling "Tainted."

I've had *a lot* of my art used on F-List for people. And some of them were into some less-than-stellar stuff. Stuff that I wouldn't want *my* art to be associated with, but was. And in my mind it's like "Great, now everyone who saw my art under their account will forever see it as being a Dewott into snuff-necro sex." Granted at least the guy using your art isn't trying to claim your character as his own but, it's still just super lame.

True, at least for the time it is also uploaded by the thief.

Yeah it is even harder for you since you have a specific character related to that. I just use simple yoshis and so nobody would be able to say if that's me or not but at the end it is still the same. Your character is connected to you and they think they can use him for their personal smut stuff like RP and such. I just saw that this was already the second piece he uploaded that was made for me XD
He even have photos of him and don't even look like he's old enough to upload porn anyways.....

I'm amazed he's been on DeviantART for 2 years when most of his gallery is porn that he stole.  I mean even ignoring the stolen part, explicit pornography isn't allowed on DeviantART.  I reported the image in question as explicit pornography but I have no clue how to report an user (or if the mods would even care tbh).

The picture has been removed but if you want to report users then you need to open a trouble ticket about them. it's the best way to report users that have stolen art/porn in their gallery
