A friend of mine on Skype asked me if I knew someone who wanted his Steam copy of Yooka-Laylee; he had funded the kickstarter for it, and got the game, all of its DLC, the soundtrack, and the artbook, but they canceled the WiiU version and the Steam version he got couldn't run on his computer. Since I know my boyfriend was wanting to test it out, I offered to take the game off of his hands, so he gave me the codes for the game and DLC (he kept the soundtrack and artbook). I haven't played it, yet, but my boyfriend has tried it, and while he said it's too early in the game for him to make a solid judgment on it, he's not that impressed with it; he thinks it does a good job in capturing the gameplay and visualization of the N64 collect-a-thons like Mario 64 and the Banjo-Kazooie series, but he doesn't think it captured the heart of it well. We'll just have to see if he changes his mind on that...
