Hugs to all!

Having already opened a rather nasty can of worms, and probably put my big fat foot in my big fat mouth, I'd like to just offer *hugs* to all who want them.

I can be kind of temperamental and downright bitchy at times, but you guys are awesome and thank you all for putting up with me!

I was going to weigh in, as an ex-smoker who uses occasional edibles... but I figured it wouldn't be worth the inevitable argument with someone. For every opinion there is an opposite who "knows best".

You do you boo boo, you wanna rant go for it, you wanna offer hugs? I'm down. As long as you are doing what you want, it's your party here. :)

I know all about not wanting to get into a big fight with people. I usually try to avoid that myself. But you're always welcome to note me with your opinions or comments if you want. I like to think I'm a pretty level-headed sort of gal, and it doesn't matter if someone agrees or disagrees with me so long as they can keep the discussion civil. Of course, that's entirely up to you and I can respect those who just keep their peace, too. I just don't want anyone to feel like they have to stifle themselves around me.

I don't think you cause anyone to be "stifled" per say. I just find no reason to stir the pot when there's no reason too do so. You're always fairly reasonable, and again, this is "your" journal, you can do as you please here. ^^ I always enjoy reading your thoughts, rants, raves, and TMI's. I'm here for the party, just trying not to spill my drink when the random squabble breaks out. :P

*hugs the fox/bunny family all up in warmth acceptance and 90s kids stereotypical end of show about acceptance lesson feelings* we are all human. It's hard sometimes to look at someone or talk to someone and initially think "that person has lived an entire life filled with relationships highs lows and all sorts of things and i only get to meet them maybe even just at this one point in their life as a short blip much like how they are to me" their entire life has many choices and sometimes good and bad things happen to influence the choices, such as pot vs weed, and how they feel about it.
In short, everyone is a person with likes and dislikes and everyone has an opinion about something they know even the littlest about. Respect is owed to every human until they do something to lose that respect.
I can say for certain that despite our differing opinions you have not lost a shred of respect from me. Keep kicking it girl, and if you do some day choose to quit i will do what I can to back you up 100%..

I agree that it can be hard, sometimes, to remember that everyone has a whole life time of experience behind their opinions and ideas, and that even people who disagree with you may have very valid reasons for their opinions. This is especially true when it comes to issues that can stir up strong emotions, and it can be all too easy to go straight into defensive mode and simply exacerbate the very problem you'd hoped to resolve.

For whatever it might be worth, I can respect your strength of feeling on this issue, and I do want to thank you for being civil and polite in talking to me about it. Even if we might not see eye to eye on some things, you seem like a really nice person and I do appreciate your concern for me. And you offer of support. And most especially your not biting my head off when I might well have deserved it.

Its nice to talk regardless. You're welcome, I try my best to be civil and orderly especially when im talking to people I like.
