From my understanding of the situation: Someone and her friends went on twitter talking about being physically violent at the con with people, got reported, then worked up such a stink that the con was canned? If you believe the chair's perspective, at least, they were threatened.

Not to say that I'm ok with nazi furs, but I'm not exactly going to support or be ok with violence against anyone, and I don't blame any convention that chooses to ban someone that so eagerly talks about enacting physical violence at their event.

Quick summery on that front, she did say "Can't wait to punch some Nazis." She said this as a sweeping, general statement, Not directed at any specific person, nor had she ever been intending on going to the con, and this was certainly not said about the con.

She garned a response from a congoer that confirmed he was conceal carrying a weapon to the con. She sent an email to con security.

Then she got THE C&D LETTER.

That C&D Letter man. Like, All the internal strife of nazi furs aside, That C&D Letter surprised everyone with it's crazy. If RMFC was a trainwreck, that C&D Letter was the out of control, overfed, burning front engine car.

Forgive me for not having her side of the story, I think she uses a blockbot on twitter. I don't really think anyone is free of guilt in this situation, and the best option would probably have been for con staff to sit the chair down and talk him into giving the seat to someone else.
Specifically her story, it was directed at a vague and arguably small/impossible to identify group of people. Hostility is at an all time high, and people get labeled as "nazis" for sneezing in the wrong direction these days. The guy who sent what I can only identify as a "try it" shit talking message/threat is a shithead, but a larger swathe of people are unsettled by the rising trend of violence against X group, tied with the lowered bar for what it takes to be considered part of X group.

Also I don't hold communists in very high regard, but that's something else entirely.

Apparently the other furry just said that he would defend himself. Still see it as shit talking and or a challenge.

While I too dislike the "You disagree with me, you a Nazi" rhetoric prevalent these days, I'm an active, local fur. The dudes DO use Nazi Symbolism at public meets, and it DOES have an effect on local venues view of us, and it DOES have an effect on our ability to organize events. So we ask them to remove the symbolism. They they start problems.

At the FoxtrotClub, they were asked to remove the arm bands and Foxler lost his temper and started shoving a fur. You can ask RMFC's dance coordinator lakotalutrova or taofox about it or any other witnesses they suggest.

At the AuroraFurs meetup, Mayday & SugarRay threatened to physically harm the organizer, Timber. They were banned. After the ban, Foxler and other Raiders continued to go to the meet. They drove 1.5 hours out of their way to go to the VillageInn during the meet for "business". I'm sure AuroraFurs on meetup can provide photo evidence if you ask. The restaurant also supported the furmeet banning them.

At frontrangefurs, the Laser-Tag venue received complaints about the Nazi attire from families and children there. In order to not to get the furmeet itself banned, the furmeet coordinators asked the Raiders to remove the arm bands. The Raiders started a fight. Afterwards, the Raiders kept wearing the armbands at later events and got banned. Since the ban, the organizers rhaen and pouchmonster started receiving phone threats from anonymous google voice numbers. They threatened to doxx pouchmonster to the school she teaches at. They also received threats to keep their doors locked and threats that the Raiders would come back to the meet.

And this is above and beyond holding room blocks hostage at the con last year.

But all of that is just "Controversial."
That C&D though. ...THAT C&D. I don't think you comprehend fully the crazy in that C&D.

I've never had to experience a group as legitimate as this, and as long as you guys know who they are, you should be able to keep them away. I don't care what happens in self defense, and I support keeping people like them away.
At the end of the day I think the best thing that could have been done, is that the chair position should have been given to someone else, because it's clear they didn't handle this situation appropriately. That letter is pretty good evidence of it.

Here is what I got out of it from some of the other posts I have seen on it She "Das Devil" was threatened to be shot while at the con, she brought it up with the con staffers and they refused to do anything. She then directly reported it to the Denver Police which is what prompted more fall out.

Honestly though, what was revealed from the fall out is rather....shocking and I am greatly appalled by this whole thing, not just the C&D letter, but the tax evasion. I honestly couldn't care less about the pedo conviction because people change.and that happened 2 decades ago, and that is something that I hate about such convictions, it people have such an aversion to it they don't ask the context to it. Everything else though, is just conjecture or false comparisons or witch hunting, but the legal stuff is what the real issue was.

There is a lot of rumors floating around for certain.Tons of it. Bot for all the speculation going around, that C&D was a solid, 100% tangable thing. The catalyst, the kill shot, the everything.

On the bright side though, at the time of this writing, a new Denver con is fully funded, thanks to the help of some miniture cartoon horse people! :)

That it was and being screen captures can be easily altered more so than a scanned paper or even a phone picture of it, it makes it harder to pin point how things went down, but the C&D as you said was the nail in the coffin.

Kind of weird to have bronies helping out, but I ain't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth xD (I'm Terrible I know)

Well, we will see where and how this goes, hopefully everything goes smoothly. I don't know if it will have the same atmosphere as RMFC or similar planning, but I am hoping for the best.
