Still alive

So, it finally happened. My home country has been attacked by terrorists.
To any who may wonder, I am fine, and everyone I know who live in Stockholm are fine too, so don't worry, I'll still be around for sporadic updates whenever I manage to produce something.
Still, it feels quite scary, but I'm gonna try to keep calm about it until we know more about it.

Man, this year suddenly became a whole lot longer...

As someone who also lives in Sweden, I'm curious.

What are you feeling so scared about? This just seems to be another in the row of crazy loners.

It's incredibly sad for the families that were killed, but this crazy idiot didn't even manage to kill more people than your average serial killer. I definitively think it's sad when something like that happens as well, and I hope neither fate will ever befall me, but the odds are so low that it's always felt silly to be worried or scared about it. (I'm more worried about riding a car without seatbelt, or going on a bicycle without helmet. Both are at least 30-100 times more likely to kill me, and should it happen, I'd be nothing but a statistic.)

I think it's pretty natural to be scared of a terrorist attack, especially in these times. Not to the extent that I'll be going around expecting to become a casualty, or lose any sleep over it, but it is a scary feeling to know that we're just as vulnerable to a terrorist as any other country. What scares me even more though are the effects this is going to have on politics in this country, as this event is gonna put a lot of fuel on the fire for the local nazis, and it's gonna be a lot harder now to keep those sons of bitches out of office.
