I'm Always On Skype

For some reason I've been having the worst trouble with Skype.

I use a program called Trillian to group all my messengers together.

AIM, Facebook messenger, and Skype, so I only need one program open instead of three.

Last year, however, Microsoft bought the rights to Skype and discontinued third party software support. So I had to use an older (slightly modified) version of the Skypekit to work for Trillian.

However, this makes me seem invisible or Offline all the time.

Even though I'm online frikken all the time all day almost.

So if you need to talk to me, or just feel like chatting, I'm always online, it just appears that I'm not because my shit is broken.

I promise I'm not avoiding you. (You know who you are.)

I use Discord for my clan VOIP when we play MMOs.

But it would just be one more thing I'd need to keep open. lol

Discord needs to iron out their client a bit ... then I think it'll be ready for proper use.
• Display time and date in the user's format than forcing the US format.
• Add new strings to Crowdin so those can be translated, and add the strings from Crowdin, because several strings are still in English.
• Solve the notification issues people are having.
• Fix the navigation in Android, and stop trying to be "inventive".
...am I missing something?

Microsoft has owned Skype since 2011.
Software hasn't improved a lot and it's full of ads, sadly.

And if you've installed Skype on any mobile device, you'll be permanently visible as online to your contacts.

Microsoft haven't improved Skype, true. It's really slow compared to other clients.

But they did improve the Android version. Before the whole app was running in the background draining the battery quickly. Now only a small process is running in the background.

I pretty much abandoned everything for Discord. Its quite nice for what it is

I finally gave up on skype. last year my account got hacked and people got spammed on it. This year that account got banned because of it and they don't care that the account got hacked. They just see that people were spammed from it, so I had to start all over again. because they are a total bunch of a-holes.

That's really odd. I do get spam bots occasionally, but I just block them right away.

The last "updated" version of Skype won't run in my computer at all. After trying everything I just gave up and installed telegram.

Yeah it's pretty crappy.

But it's good for having an Internet phone because we don't have cell phone reception way out here in the boonies.

if you are logged into your MS account allot it'll always log into it automatically. same if you use outlook. Outlook and skype are integrated. This also includes logging into windows.

Thankfully I don't. I had to heavily modify my Windows 10 to prevent it from trying to log me in all the time. (And turned off that nosy bitch Cortana.)
