TMI Tuesday time

Hiya everyone, figured I'd drop one of these before heading off to work today XD Same thing as always, I'll ask a question, then you ask one XD

Does anyone here, whether with writing or with drawing and such, ever have a personal soundtrack that goes along with some scenes XD? Or maybe even think up a theme song that goes with it XD? Shoot me links if you want, even if it's just music you like X'D

In other news, I've been busy with a week of work, but been trying to squeeze in a little writing after I get home (and between trying to play some ME: Andromeda; might make a little summary/review type thing for it here lol), so hopefully I'll be posting some new stuff soon for you all XD

I have a personal soundtrack for literally everything that happens in life, even the mundane stuff. It's great.

Do you have any opinion on original characters? I've noticed that most of them are very self-indulgent in that really the only person who's getting anything out of their depiction is the one to whom they belong. Without a decent design and some kind of effort at backstory and characterization, they're just soulless fetishized husks through which the owner gets off or lives vicariously without any lasting impact on anyone else.

Nothing against peeps who put all that stock in their character(s), but it comes off as selfish to me.

Well mary-sues are just original characters that lack any depth or intrigue whatsoever, lol. I think it's kind of funny when they're vaguely aware of how bad mary-sues are, and think they can counterbalance their godly perfection by giving them an imperfect personality like they're shy or something.

Yeah the character flaws need to be serious fatal flaws. I try to incorporate my real life issues into my OCs. Imperfection also makes things seem more realistic and believable.

Heh, there's moments when I'll just think a certain song would go perfectly with some moments in life XD like a buddy who always says the wrong thing at the worst time, I think of the chorus from that one song "The things, you say; *beat* you're unbelievable OHHH" and then when I start to chuckle out of nowhere, I get looked at funny lmao

Oooh, OCs, another interesting question! They're a thing that can be really good when done right, and be really irritating mary sues when done badly. It really depends on how they're used; If they're just a blatant avatar of the author, who is using it as a thinly veiled self insert, it's usually shit. They've got powers that can destroy all the main canon cast, the main cast fawns over them, and they can do no wrong lmao... and don't forget, every main character wants them too lol. That's one of the reasons they're taboo; their relation to the main cast.

If you're pairing them with a main cast member, right off the bat, you better not be a mary sue, cuz people WILL notice that shit immediately lol XD They have to be thought out, they have to FIT IN THE UNIVERSE (that's a BIG one; if the character doesn't fit the universe, they stick out like a kazoo player in a violin orchestra) and they have to have a purpose in the plot, they can't just be there for no reason... and they CAN'T be related family-wise to the main cast either, because it's absolutely ridiculous. "Hi, I'm Sonic's long lost brother Edgehog, and I'm just an upgraded version of him, who has all these Chaos Powers lmao lololol"...

I've got a few OCs myself; I made a team of villains for a Starfox story, because I didn't want to use Starwolf. The main OC of the team, Ryland Garvan, I made him specifically with a Starfox vibe in mind, because he needed to fit the universe to be credible, and I made him directly unrelated to the main team, so it wasn't just like he had some established connection to the Starfox team. I've used Garvan for a few smut pics (including a comic that is coming up at some point), but he's got a past, and a motive, and team, and he avoids being a fetishized husk in that way XD

I do have a character that I created that was primarily because I wanted an excuse for a character of his species to be sexual, and that's my Mass Effect OC, my salarian, Saerow Azen, of which I've got a nice handful of art of XD... however, because I didn't want him to just be a character only for sex, I gave him a reason for doing the sexual things he does, and a backstory as well, even a planned character arc... it's a delicate balance kind of thing, making it so he's not just blatantly there to get off too, but that he's an actual character with a personality.

Which brings me to the part about many OCs just being self-indulgent or alluring to the person who made them XD I've see a lot of OCs that look like neon flamingos, with so much stuff popping out on them that they're an eyesore to look at. It's usually an attempt to make the character more unique, so that the creator can be like "That's MINE, don't STEAL!"... but they don't really realize that it makes the character rather unattractive usually. Most of my OCs are fairly simple in design, no rainbow eyes, or neon bright fur, shit like that... there are ways to make them stand out, or give them a personal touch, without vomiting tie-die paint all over them, y'know lol?

All in all, I think when someone puts care and stuff into their OCs, with backstories, character arcs, and motivations, it really makes the OC stand out in a good way, to the point that when they use the character sexually, it doesn't come across as "This is my OC cumdump character, that exists to get me off", but rather as an ACTUAL character, who just happens to be getting sexual in this case lol XD

Oh boy xD what could say for this xD

Music gives me so much inspiration. It helps me focus on making picture and creating the image on my head and i try my best to create it sfm or photgraphy.

I have so sooo many soundtracks and song i could choose but lets, if i want make angry/badass shadow pic i could go with Health Tears https://youtu.be/zEH_LSL4rVw it has action, dark kind of feel and redemption on it, what would be good with shadow.

Bbbuuu, something happened to me last Thursday when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go, I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky, to the east! It was moving very irregularly... Suddenly, there was intense light all around me and when I came to, I was home. What do you think happened to me...?

Oooh, funny you mention Tears by Health, I've loved that song since Max Payne 3 XD it's one of the coolest moments in that game, and the soundtrack is what gave it that awesome boost XD And sure, link me plenty of stuff, I always like finding new music XD

Oh my, that is a toughie... I'm not a big Eevee fan, so that one's out, and Charmander's tail takes a little bit away from his booty, so I've gotta eliminate him too for now... I'm very fond of Squirtle butt, even commissioned a sexy one here: https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1171082

BUT, I also like Pikabutt, and a few artists and writers have given me an appreciation for Bulbabutt too XD... I'm gonna go with Squirtle as the butt victor here, with Pikachu and Bulbasaur coming in at 2nd and 3rd respectively XD

Hope you don't mind a late question because of damn work X'D

I think I mentioned it before somewhere, but there are a few songs and such that inspire very specific and vivid scenes, which I hope one day to incorporate into something much bigger. Oddly though, no song gives me inspiration for romance or smut, just action stuff XD

For instance, I've had a scene in my head for months after months where Sonic and Shadow take down a battalion of airships, and every time I play "King" by Years and Years, it pops into my head.

My question is a Pokémon one this time XD. If you could set up a home or base in any route of any region, where would you put it and why?

That sounds like a badass idea! Heh, maybe you could work that into a story, I'm sure it would be awesome to read whatever plot goes with that scene!

Hmm, interesting question... I've only played a few pokemon games, but one place I always seemed to hang out in Silver, was near Goldenrod City... mostly because there were Meowths near there, and those are some of my favorite pokemon XD Of course, if I made a base or something near there, I could catch some Meowth, and train them all to use Pay Day muhahaha X'D Unless I'm mistaking the area ^^;.... it's been a while since I played Silver XD
