Wow. What a douche. Seriously, how dare he? If he can't draw better than you, then he shouldn't be giving you sh** about how you draw. And even if he CAN draw better than you, he shouldn't, because it's just freakin' polite.

...And as someone who is just barely starting to learn to draw, that type of thing would just kill any desire I had to work or improve.

Well, no, people who can't do a thing are still allowed to critique said thing. Everyone has eyes and an instinctive idea of the way human forms are meant to look.

The guy's still a douche, but not because he's critiquing someone's art while being unable to do better.

What a magical breed of asshole that guy is.
I do not understand why people on the internet think their unwarranted constructive criticism is somehow valuable and important.

I never say to not listen to criticism, but i always had the mantra that if I don't know the person and their not a friend of mines their criticism is worthless to me.

Only listening to the criticism of your friends isn't really that helpful. Listen to randos too, sometimes they have actual insightful comments. Would you ignore the critique of an actual professional artist or art critic just because you didn't know who he is?

Just, you know, ignore the jerks and the people who obviously don't know what they're talking about.

Kinda sad, I suppose, but then your style is meant to be cartoony and fun and a bit ridiculous, from what I can see. If someone wants to go out of their way to slag you off for it, then fuck 'em. =)

While it is totally okay not to agree or like how someone draws something and it is also okay to offer criticism... but holy crap that is not how you do it.
I did enjoy your fantasstic reply though. If he was gonna be so rude he at least could have had the balls to not hide behind a fake name. But maybe he lost them in the crash of the Behindenburg.

You want honesty? Here's honesty from a Nori fan.

I know goddamn well that Nori's asses are exaggerated. I don't have to point out whether or not I think they're somehow realistic. They're big. They're enormous. They're supposed to be that way! I like them that way! It's fantasy! Right or wrong, they give me a boner, upon which I apply my hand and vigorously masturbate. Furiously. Many times. Is that honest enough for you, ya jackass? Because I know you're lurking and probably won't say a damn thing to come forward and support what you obviously feel is true, you coward. Otherwise you'd open yourself up to all the same "criticism," and who would honestly want that?

Oh but giving it to Nori is okay because that's the cool thing to do on e621.

What's also honest is that people have different interpretations on what "proper art" is. Nori does things his way, you do things yours. You can't say that he's not allowed to label them as "personal preference" after he goes over the various ways a pair of boobs can hang, at least one of which falling into line of what you seem to believe is the "One True Way." The big difference between you and him is that he doesn't mount up on his 100 foot tall horse and go parading into someone else's PM inbox to start handing out his opinion as if it's law. That sounds like trying to restrict what artists are "allowed to draw." That's something a complete asshole would do.

You, sir or madam, are a complete asshole; and that's honesty from a part of Nori's audience.

PS: Nori this whole debacle has me feeling like I should further increase the size of Milkie's ass, what'chya think? ;P

I know I'm interested in your silhouette style that you start with. Where you draw a figure, blob, etc to give you an idea of the negative space. I'm looking to try it. :3
