My new home...

Since FA has banned childbirth and breastfeeding pictures, no matter the sexual intent - it looks like I am going to be a regular IB resident.  I am going to be working on the gallery here, trying to restore my content from FA to here, getting my story snippets and the like here - so if items get removed then re-added, I am not trying to screw with people - just working on organizing and uploading new content.

Technically, they only disallow minors (which includes infants/newborns) in pics with visible female nipples and/or vaginas. If those elements are not visible, or censored, its fine.  This also applies to breastfeeding pics ... but again, if the nipples are hidden or censored, it's okay, as I understand it.

Because FA is more commercial now, they have to cover their butts to protect against being sued for child pornography.

It is dumb that a completely non-sexual image of a mother nursing her child must be censored, but that is an issue bigger than FA.  It is the standards established outside of Furaffinity that has context-blind rules about female orifices and children which FA is obligated to comply to.  All of society needs to change its attitude to fix that. Not just FA.

The problem is their ever-selective enforcement.  Images uploaded before the AUP change should have been left alone, but considering their rules can change at any time and then you can get into trouble for images you uploaded when it was totally fine has gotten to be the final straw.  The only real reason they decided to go entirely black-and-white with the rules is because pregnancy and childbirth images are easy targets to kick off the site.  I didn't decide to start taking my images here because of a protest, I just don't want to get into trouble for things that weren't against the rules when I uploaded them - its their rules, their site, and I will simply take my participation somewhere where its more appreciated.

Inkbunny has it's own stupid rules.  They are EXTREMELY Human-phobic.  Take the exact same rules we are complaining about here but replace "child" with "human" ... of any age.  Sexy TFs are not allowed, because there is a 'hyooman' in the first frame of a sequence with naughty bits in it.  Also ... your Anthro characters better not have any Human friends, because if any of them attend the birth, or are visible in a nursing pic, even distantly in the background, you will get in trouble with IB.

Near as I can tell, if someone created the most beautiful, non-fetish, non-sexual pic in the world of an Anthro Woman with bared nipples nursing her newborn along side her human husband lovingly embracing them both from behind, DA, FA and IB would all ban it for their own stupid reasons.  ... yet a sculpture of a nude adult being graphically gored to death is allowed on DA (because "Art") ... Anything can Rape anything else on FA as long as Minors and Taboo Cultural discrimination are not involved ... and IB will let you do almost anything to 'Cubs' (child porn/rape), as long as there are none of those filthy 'hyoomans' visible.

This is a much bigger problem than just ranting against one website and running towards another.  The underlying cultural dysfunction will find you wherever you run, in one form or another.

Humans are basically the source of all these problems - we should probably get rid of them. Animals don't make laws about pictures of themsleves!

You might find the FA to IB migration tool, other gallery management tools, or a bulk upload useful to fill your gallery up. Just be sure to check each piece selected for upload against our acceptable content policy, and apply appropriate keywords and ratings for search and filtering before making your work public.

One issue you may face is your historical photography. Inkbunny only host photography as a means to displaying art, so general convention pics wouldn't count. But you're welcome to link it from your profile and I don't think FA has any particular reason to turf that off… yet. If they do, Flickr or 500px might work for it.

Thanks for the pointers - I am currently going through all the images one-by-one so I can adjust their descriptions, making use of IB's organization structures the best I can (for a relative newbie).

Right now - I have no plans to bring over my convention photography as I know photos are kind of not the point of this site.  FA currently hosts them without issue, but if they are deleted - I am not particularly drawn to repost them.  None of them are in question (that I know of) since they are just of folks doing things folks do in public at conventions.  :)
