(Fixed... Again) Wacom tablet lost pressure sensitivity!

Anyone know how to fix this? Nothing ive seen on google is helping this issue and ive tested a couple tablets and reset all drivers and the computer and stuff. So my issue is one of these:

1. Sai isnt responding to my tablet anymore

or

2. My laptop itself isnt registering im using a tablet with pressure sensitivity

While this isn't a HUGE issue because I can still do commissions and stuff on my desktop just fine, the fact this isn't working on my laptop is an inconvenience cuz I like taking my laptop where I want and just draw like on my couch and not be confined to a computer chair. :o

EDIT: Fixed by just reinstalling Windows, luckily there was an option to reinstall without losing my files. Only have to reinstall programs again though

Edit agin: Its not working again.. fml -w-

Edit: Finally fixed it with the help from my hun

I'd say your tablet is just borked. Planned obsolescence of the hardware and such.
Realistically though if you have reset the drivers and it still isn't working, the thing is most likely broken. If it was manufactured less than two years ago, it most likely is still under manufacturer's warranty and you can call to see if they will replace it.

EDIT: You could also have it repaired at a qualified location, but that could be pricey.

Interesting. It could be an OS problem, or the port on your laptop could be having issues.
Once again, if the hardware is more than two years old, it is going to start degrading slowly. Manufacturers plan it out this way.

Try uninstalling the Wacom driver (if present) and then installing the latest version. If it is true that it works fine on your desktop, this is purely a software issue or potentially an issue caused by using a different cable that happens to be faulty. Probably the former, though. Drivers can be finicky sometimes.

The fact that your tablet often still works on your laptop but doesn't register pressure sensitivity is because Windows realized that a tablet is connected, but doesn't know how to get pressure information from it (because with Wacom tablets, the driver is responsible for figuring that out).

Search your computer for the Wacom tablet preference file utility

Remove all user preferences

close sai, open sai

should work. You might need to try restarting your computer and/or unplugging and replugging up your tablet.

I run into that problem a LOT and that usually does the trick for me. Hope that helps :)

I just searched Wacom and it came up Wacom Tablet Properties, so I clicked on it and i get an error message "The tablet driver was not found." :o

you may want to unistall and reinstall your tablet then. Which wacom tablet do you have?
(this has worked for all my different wacom tablets I've had over the past ten years)

Sounds like windows ink/pen and touch (depends which version of windows you have) doesn't like your driver

try installing one of the older drivers and see if that fixes it??

If not then it's probably the usb ports themselves and you're going to have to wait on somebody to fix the issue, best thing you can do there is submit a bug report to wacom, as I doubt ms or your laptop manufacturer will care enough to have somebody look into fixing it any time soon

I've actually looked into this issue for another friend before now. It is a conflict issue between the windows touch support and the wacom drivers. Step one toward fixing it is to shut off as much of the windows touch support as you can, the second is to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the tablet.

The exact process for doing all of that depends on the version of windows you're running, but for the most part, a web search can tell you what you need to know. The good news about all of this, your tablet is perfectly fine...the bad news, fixing this problem is an honest pain in the ass, but the only other option is reinstalling windows...and I really wish I were kidding about that.

Thats okay, i just fixed it by reinstalling windows lol. I had to do reinstall it a week or so ago already so its not that big an issue, just decided its easier to say screw it and reinstall again rather than delve into messing with programs that are far beyond my knowledge XD
