It is February 16, 2017. Two years ago today I started work at 'the lens place' after being unemployed for over two years (since November 2016). It is the date that I adopted as my birthday as a tanuki.
It's ironic and a little depressing that the date that started this phase of my life (the rebuilding it phase) was nearly the date that my current contract expires. But not quite, which is nice. I'm not sure what will happen with the job, I might be looking back on this in two months time thinking "wow, why was I worried" or "curse this sudden but inevitable doom".
Either way I am in much better condition (across the board) than this time two years ago.
